Flashing screen
Since downloading the new 2020 Illustrator, even after the updates i get the same problem. While working on any document the screen flashes in and out very rapidly when moving the mouse in illustrator. It doesn't slow the software down but is very annoying when trying to set up a job and the screen is constantly flashing. All other adobe products like indesign, photoshop and acrobat work fine. Just illustrator i'm having the issue.

command Z, Blocks Reediting an object
If I edit an object or shape like adding or deleting a point and do not like it, I usually undo it with command Z. Once I use command Z the shape I was editing is blocked from being re-edited.
I sometimes have to copy the shape and paste in order for me to add the points in different location again on the shape.
Is there any reason why this is happening?1 vote -
Measurements given as points
I have been working with Units set to General: Centimeters, Stroke: Centimeters, Type: Points and Grid: every 1 cm, 5 subdivisions. Suddenly this morning all measurements are in Points. I cannot work with this. The ruler is in points: useless. I have reset preferences and restarted several times.

text selection bug still happening with 24.03
When you click on text to move it around on the artboard it always selects what is BEHIND the text box only, unless you click 1 pixel below text baseline exactly. I click on the text inside of the box to move it and it keeps moving my background. I have to zoom in 150% to see baseline and move text. This has REALLY slowed down my process.

Illustrator 2020 gradient bug
I am using Mac Os Catalina 10.15.2 with Illustrator 2020. When I close a file that contains an element with a circular gradient fill applied and re-open the file, the colour gradient disappears and appears black. I have tried saving as ai, eps and pdf. all 3 files still produce a black element on reopening.

overprint preview not working properly
This is new to me as of today. This is a process I have done hundreds of times in the past with no issue. I have not received or updated anything over the past week other than any Adobe updates I receive via the Creative Cloud.
What I do is create a separate layer in a file to set up a kiss cut for cutting vinyl. I use a spot colour for this - same spot colour I have been using since day one.
I apply the spot colour to the text or object - in this case a box…

Linked images are broken when open a AI file on a different computer
I work with a AI file and some placed image as links.
If I try to open that file on a different computer i shows all the images links as broken. I need to fix each path evrytime.

Unwanted emails from Adobe
Why am I getting spammed twice a day with 20-60 illustrator bug messages.? My company quarantines these unwanted messages. I get nothing out of them and I cannot turn them off.

***** / skew / tilt angle disappear
when I transform an object the rotation angle remains visible in the transformation panel while that the inclination angle disappears ... why? it's very frustrating ...
In InDesign this is possible and correct .... not in illustrator.It is not possible to reset or reproduce the angle of inclination on another object.

Duel Screen Issue
Both Ps and Ai malfunction when using a second monitor. Problem: when either application is open and I shuts off, unplugs 2nd monitor or closed laptop with 2nd monitor still plugged in, the next time I am in either app the files I have open are frozen. Or when I open a new file there is no art board shown. The only resolve is to restart the program.

selection bug
As the title describes, this is a bug with the selection tool. I've had this bug several times today, everytime it does I have to restart Illustrator which is madness.
feel free to check the files that I've provided, and please FIX THE BUGS BEFORE ADDING MORE FEATURE TO ILLUSTRATOR. the features are useless unless Illustrator improve the reliability to the users.

Objects sliding when switching between outline and preview
Most of the times I'm working with quite simple graphics (preparing already existing logos and graphics for printing).
Sometimes when switching from preview to outline view, and back, I notice that some objects aren't where they are supposed to be. In outline view they are at their supposed position, but in preview they are somewhere else. It isn't a big problem when I notice it happening - the problem is when I don't and print it like that. When I notice it, moving the object, pressing unite, or several other actions will make the object pop back to their right…

Windows Registory is missing
Although it is from the previous version, the registry value to be written is incorrect in the Windows version installer.

Randomly Freezes Ai 24.0.1 - Windows 10 Pro
I'm using Illustrator 24.0.1 - Randomly freezes, have to shut down using Task Manager. Also sometimes clicking on a shortcut, say to my symbols library, for example, doesn't open illustrator, struggles on some previews. The freezing issue was on the prev release too.

CATALINA NIGHTMARE - Illustrator update NOT finishing on my iMac (only on my MacBook) and all the other problems of everyone - not able to save, not able to copy something in InDesign - luckily the libraries work, so that kind of works as opt C opt V... but, omg.... Catalina want let me update the newest versions! (came out today i think..) so how can i fix these bugs!!

Opening WMF through Windows Command Line creates distortion
When opening a WMF in the latest 2020 AI via the Windows command line, e.g.
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2020\Support Files\Contents\Windows\Illustrator.exe" 745-2969563.wmf
It opens the WMF, but it is distorted as in the attached wmf_distorted.png.
However, if you open a blank document and import it with File->Place, it renders it correctly

We are not able to reproduce the issue in house ,Kindly provide following info to nail down this issue:1)Kindly provide the test file which you are trying to open in illustrator using command line.
