Clipping masks get released when document is reopened
When I reopen a document with clipping masks the masks are released. It is very frustrating remaking all photos each time I open to make edits.

I have a similar issue. If I place a pdf plot generated by R in illustrator 2020 ai file. The "release clipping masks" function does not work. The function works in the previous illustrator version. Please let me know how to fix this.

It happens exactly the same with me. But it's random, not with all documents and not with all masks inside a document. This is happening since the upgrade to Illustrator 24.1

Hello. I'm not sure if this is just an "operator error" or if this is a bug in the new Illustrator 2020, but every time I reopen my AI file the clipping masks have been removed. Is there a fix for this? It started happening when I updated to 2020.
