Variable Data - ignoring a blank cell in the data library
Variable printing – an amazing utility within Illustrator which is probably often underutilized!
Unfortunately, if the .csv file containing your data contains a blank cell you'll run into issues. Fixing this or creating a workaround so that we can import those blank cells as just a space would be HUGE!
Printing mailing labels and being able to ignore a second line for an address would no longer be out of the realm of possibilities! And that's just the tip of the iceberg!

Object Selection by Path Only broken with symbols
In Preferences, under Selection and Anchor Display, check Object Selection by Path Only.
Create or open a document.
Drag a symbol out of the Symbol panel. Choose one with a large filled area.
Zoom in on the symbol.
With either of the 3 selection tools, drag over a filled part of the symbol. Do not drag over any paths.
It doesn't matter whether you're viewing in Outline or Preview.
The symbol becomes selected.
It should not become selected due to the prefs option noted above.
It worked correctly in v22 & CS6 etc. It's been close to a year with…1 vote -
Copy objects from Illustrator to Photoshop
I'm not able to copy objects from Illustrator (2020) to Photoshop (2020).

ILLUSTRATOR 2020 CRASHES ON SCRIPTS - SYMLINK - APPLE
Hi, We are using with our company the folder Scripts (Presets Illustrator) that is connected to a Cloud folder with a Symbolic Link (Apple) = Production workflow. It allways worked in previous versions but after installing Illustrator 2020 - Illustrator allways crashed when you go to main menu "File". Can you give us a solutions for this! Urgent issue for us !

This issue is fixed in Illustrator 2020 (version 24.1 and above)

In Adobe Illustrator Constrain Width and Height proportions doesnt work
I don't know why but 'Constrain Width and Height proportions doesn't work
in 'Transform' or 'Properties' panelWhenever I constrain and move the number up, it creates a weird number
for example, if the shape is 60,60 and when I write down 70 on the height the width becomes 69.256 something like thisso frustrating!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't open
I cant open the app in my cellphone. I tap it and it seems like it is opening BUT after one second it closes again. I don't know what to do anymore. I closed the app and opened it again and happened the same, i also restarted my phone (like tree times) and there were no changes at all!!

Embedding link/image and it duplicates itself in top left corner
Occasionally, when i embed an image in the link menu, it will duplicate that image in the top right hand corner of my document. The one I embedded into the document is embedded, but the "new" duplicate is still linked. I just noticed this happening as of recently.

Illustrator randomly deform random nodes and elongates them!
illustrator ver 23.1.1
os ver macos 10.13.6
16gb 2.8ghz hd5750gpu board.While working with illustrator (2018-2019 both are doing the same thing. While moving or duplicating curved objects around the page, or while saving the document, it's randomly picks a one of curve nodes and elongates them to random length. Done experimenting with other mac stations and same file, we cannot reproduce this behaviour. Uninstalled - reinstalled illustrator and updated os system didnt help either.

Simplify Path Creates New Shape on a New Layer on Each Adjustment
Hi! I was trying to use the Simplify Path tool in the latest Illustrator 2019 (23.0.6) and I am getting this weird error. If I have the preview mode selected, each time I make an adjustment in the dialog box a new layer is created. By default, it selects that new shape to update the path without a clear way to go back unless you go to the original layer and begin again in which the whole process starts over. If this is supposed to be an improvement in the feature I'm not quite sure how? Please let me know…

Can only marquee zoom when in overprint preview or wireframe.
The marquee zoom tool is not working correctly in CC 2019. Previously you could turn "Zoom to selection" on or off. In CC 2019 this option is still available under preferences, but regardless if you turn it on or off, the marqee zoom feature only works if you're in overprint preview or wireframe. When in GPU Preview, only "Zoom to selection" works, even if you have it turned off.

Workspace basics are not appearing and I can't reset workspace
Basically the title I can only use stuff I have remembered by hotkeys and the option to reset isn't available, I am even unable to change the layout I use entirely, I am new to illustrator and this is very frustrating.

Frequent crash Illustrator 2019 23.1.1.
Crashes 4-8 times a day, just like that. Illustrator crashes even if you just walk away from the computer and do nothing. Then he just closes the program. Without notification. When opening the file again, he will only give a message that he has saved it as a 'recovered' file.

I updated the illustrator 23.1 and yellowish tint is still there among my jpg file. how can I get rid of it?

randomly shutting off and not saving
so im in a digital arts class at my school so i dont know much about the computers, i am was working on a project and i was just about finished with my outline after 1 hour 32 minutes of work and the Illustrator just shuts off randomly and i go to open the app back up again and it didn't save. This better get fixed, and if it doesn't me and my teacher aggreed we will go to something else if we have to.

Grouped Objects Resizing Errors & Inconsistency

Illustrator 23.0.6 - ( issue has existed through many versions / upgrades )

Illustrator crashes when using Image Trace
Illustrator has been continually crashing when I use the Image Trace tool. I have been using it on the "Sketched Art" setting with an image file that is 20in x 13in @ 300dpi. Also, I have noticed that when I start to manipulate the advanced options, this is when it crashes most often.
I am using Illustrator CC on Mojave OS.
