Eye Dropper tool color is off
When you use the eye dropper tool on either images or vectors the shade is off and not exactly the same like it was https://www.screencast.com/t/bI7aJSdwB

Seems the problem might be from a monitor profile. Used the generic Color LCD profile rather than the factory monitor (Samsung) profile and it corrected my issue. USE THE "Color LCD" profile to solve the issue.

When I select a solid color from a bitmap image (JPG, PSD, whatever) the color value is not accurate. Like if I have a solid color field and I select a color to fill a shape with they will not match. I have been forced to hop into Photoshop and get the hex value for the color then use that color value in Illustrator to match the bitmap to the shape area. Time consuming and annoying. Please fix or advise how to remedy. Note: The image and the workspace are both RGB. This is not a CMYK to RGB conversion issue. Macbook Pro, OS 10.14.6

Thank You for reporting the issue. Can you please share the CMYK values of the color for which you are seeing the mismatch?
Thanks,

You are right, this is a very annoying bug. But recently I realized that I don't have to wait for Adobe's fix by using my monitor's color working space instead of Adobe RGB (or sRGB - I don't remember what was set before)
This will change AI colors slightly but from that point it will be consistent with the color picker.
