    Hi Raymond,

    We have found a work around for your issue.
    You need to release the compound path and then apply the swatch and make it a compound path again and save.This will retain your swatch ,the next time you open your file.Hope this helps.
    The issue is in applying swatch on a compound path.

    It would be really helpful if you share the AI file which you were using while you encountered this issue, it would be easy for us to reproduce the issue at our end.
