"CANT" ERROR

Have updated to newest version of Illustrator and now get this warning on launch. Program does open but with no preset preferences available.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but there is no improvement.

    Having the same issue. Uninstalling and installing again won't solve the problem...
    Mac OS X 10.11.6

    Same problem. El Capitan 10.11.6
    Not able to use the old version instead to keep on working somehow.

    I have the same problem! why is any update such a pain? Sierra 10.12.6.
