Can't Print Illustration
Illustrator refuses to print even small 8.5 x 11 files to our desktop printer. This is an essential part of this program and severely impacts my ability to design and create production files when I cannot print out a simple proof without exporting it to a PDF before Printing.
Hi,
We worked with Microsoft on the issue. here is the update. Thank you few of you who helped us in isolating this issue. If your issue still does not get resolved with the updates as below please reach out to us on sharewithai@adobe.com

OK all. I have heard back directly from Adobe on this issue and it has been determined that this is an issue within the Windows operating system rather than Adobe.
Apparently with the Windows updates and especially with Windows 10, Microsoft software has corrupted fonts in the system folder. This is affecting not only Adobe, but other software as well, including Microsoft Office.
Temporary fix will be to convert all text to outlines and then print. Once printed you can then undo the convert to outlines. Adobe can't do much to fix the problem since it originates in the system and operating software. No word if re-installing all fonts will help to fix the issue or not. Microsoft has been made aware of the issue and hopefully will have a patch for this problem. Until then it is on us to use a convert text to curves workaround.
I'm not sure why Adobe has kept the solution and issue such a secret if it is not an Adobe issue.

I print menus for my restaurant almost everyday, I just open the file and press print. I don't change anything when it comes to design, just the text, in menu changes. So when it says "Can't print illustration" I'm not really understanding. Because its been able to print for that last 4 years. So if we could get this bug fixed asap that would be great. Please and thank you. It too started after the last update.

Is anyone from Adobe listening to any of these posts or is this a blog for people to complain about bugs with no real outcome?
My specs are the same as above. Running the most recent release of Illustrator CC with Windows 10. Not sure why the print issues persist, but it is rather irritating since it is happening at any page size, rather than anything that may be oversized, or having clipping masks with items outside the maximum artboard range.
