Bug: Illustrator 22.1 Not Usable Since Mojave Update
Mojave update on latest Illustrator CC version 22.1
Basic usage of Illustrator
Use Illustrator normally
Random mouse clicks, movements etc making illustrator unusable. It's as if the interface and cursor just has a mind of its own sometimes. Even happening with Illustrator CS6 - Photoshop and InDesign CC have no issues at all.
Illustrator version 22 is not supported on macOS 10.14 (Mojave).
Please upgrade to version 23 to resolve the issue.

I have the same problem. Been looking all over the internet for months for an issue. I downgraded to previous versions. Still the same problem. Adobe Sucks as a company. They just do. They have plenty of time to get their Apps working on an OS. Hell, Apple has a public F'ing beta. Then you have these arrogant adobe fanboys and admins who over-confidently give you the wrong f'ing answers because they are too full of themselves to actually read and try what people are saying... They just assume were all dumb twats. I wouldn't even be using illustrator anymore if it wasn't in use by my company. There are plenty of other solutions out there that are just as good and cost a lot less. I'm going to try turning off dictation to see if it works. It would be nice if Adobe would actually make some software that worked with Mac OS... But instead they will just blame Apple... The fact that you have disable features like "Dictation" and tweak your "Accessibility" settings to get Illustrator and Photoshop to work is beyond ridiculous. So I guess people who need these accessibility features to do their work are SOL thanks to Adobe? Adobe doesn't care about these users? POS company has gotten way too bloated just like Photoshop. I have nothing good to say about Adobe.
--------------EDIT--------
People who need these accessibility features should file a class action discrimination lawsuit against Adobe if they don't fix these issues. There is a similar issue with Photoshop but you have to tweak your accessibility settings. Turning off dictation actually worked.
"Illustrator works, you just need to disable the built-in keyboard on your MacBook Pro for it to work properly, don't complain to us, it's Apple's fault for building a new Mac Book Pro and forcing us to update our shitty, bloated, riddled with technical debt software". - Adobe's official company response backed up by all their arrogant fanboys.

Illustrator was a dead slow and doing random moments with 23.0.4 until I did what Nick de Bruyne said on OS 10.14.5 (18F132). Saved many brain cells, but lost 5 hrs of sleep.

I just can't to work with the new AI on Mojave! I'm losing jobs, spending time. I have had to do a "cleaning formatting" on my iMac. Of course, didn't work.

Wish I'd have never upgraded to Mojave.... Crashes galore, spinning wheels, loads of lag, prgrams unresponsive, fan going mad on my Macbook Pro, Illustrator just awful! Indesign and typekit issues central! I'm not paying good money every month for this level of hassle and unproductivity! might start charging Abobe back for my wasted time. How about get a decent testing dept before releasing this rubbish!

Hi, I have just upgraded to Mojave - using latest 23.1 version of illustrator - tried to draw with pen tool and the tool won't release.........anyone else had similar issues and how did they resolve please.....I am freelance, just lost 1/2 days work because of this......so frustrating. Adobe support have escalated it to their senior team after chatting with them all morning without any progress.

AND...disabling "Dictation" doesn't help in this situation as it was already off.

Upgraded to Mojave...Have Illustrator 23.1
All other Adobe apps work fine. Illustrator takes ages to save a file. If you look at the Force quit menu, it says Illustrator "Not responding". A few screen glitches in the Open file window. Is there a patch for this? I am wasting a lot of time selecting, opening and saving files. Not good as this was not a problem in Sierra. MacBook Pro Retina 15" -

[[NOTICE:]] SAYING THIS AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS MY POST, AND I FOUND THE SOLUTION WHICH WAS TO DISABLE DICTATION. HOPE THIS HELPS!
I really dislike that this Adobe admin has given the completely wrong answer/advice and has a big green sign saying COMPLETED.

Hey, so I fixed my problem finally after some more Googling and you won't believe what was doing it! It was MacOS Dictation mode. After reading someone's solution I disable the OS Dictation feature and the problem is GONE.
Can you believe it. Adobe folks, please look into this.

I've since updated to 23 and it's still giving me all the same issues. Illustrator is simply unusable, doesn't matter if I use CS6, CC 22 or 23.
If I try use the app everything just constantly messes up, random movements and selections and so on. I can't use Ai AT ALL right now!
