CC 2020 gradient tool not updating result live, only when releasing the mouse button (like in CC 2018)
In CC 2019, when using the gradient tool to apply or modify a gradient, the result of using the tool was live updated as you applied/moved it. Now in CC 2020, the tool has reverted back to how it was in CC 2018, meaning you have to let go of the mouse button to see the result. Seeing the result live saves time for me and makes it easier to get a satisfying result quicker.
I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.0.2 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

I'm having the same issue on v25.1 illustrator
Currently I am having to change my gradient to a single color and then go back and apply the gradient in order to change colors inside the gradient box. I only upgraded to CC because I needed to for certain clients. These versions are a disaster!!! I can't make color adjustments in Photoshop unless I turn off my rulers, I can't use the gradient tool correctly.... I NEVER had this many issues before going to the cloud. I'd gladly drop back to CS6 if I could. There's nothing about these updated versions that I couldn't do in the old version.
This is a nightmare, you can't even edit existing gradients without the colours messing up. We had the new gradient tool for a bit, now that's broken the old stuff... and amazingly Adobe can't (be bothered to) reproduce it!!!
I refuse to use the 2020 AI because of this issue.
Please fix this... it's slowing us down
The gradient annotator does not offer a live preview of the gradient and this issue was not fixed by restarting my computer. This ruins using gradients and makes the gradient tool useless.
