Objects rotating when trying to transform or move
When manipulating shapes, the cursor will try and rotate the object. I will try and grab a handle to transform the shape and the object rotates. I have to zoom into the object in order to stop it from rotating despite the cursor showing the correct tool. For example if I want to make a simple box longer, I'll put my cursor over the middle handle on the left side of the box. My cursor will change from an arrow to the one with arrows facing away from each other. The moment I press my mouse the object will immediately rotate.

When using the selection tool to select and move an object, it will select and rotate instead. Moving an object only seems possible via directional keys.

I've run into the same issue. No idea what's causing it, but it's incredibly frustrating.

I have the same problem. I believe it is an issue with the Wacom tablet I am using (Bamboo Touch). I have read about the same problem on here from other people. I'm sure Adobe are aware of the problem so hopefully there will be a fix soon.

I agree. The transform tool causes me to waste so much time having to undo and try again multiple times for each transformation. I have noticed that the problem is worse when using a graphics tablet as opposed to using a mouse for some reason.

Transform tool is not working properly when manipulating an object from the zoom out distance

The selection accuracy of both the arrow tools and the text tools is not very accurate and hence quite annoying now. Illustrator 2017 didn't have this issue. I can clearly see that I'm clicking on the intended object, but illustrator selects the object next to it. It is as if clicking on the object with a "fat finger". The same thing happens with the text selection tool.
As a technical illustrator, I like to keep the accuracy of selection to a fine level.
To work around this issue I have to zoom in more than expected. I have adjusted the selection tolerance several times, but I keep experiencing the same error/annoyance.
Question: Could it be that the Retina 5k display has something to do with this issue?
Computer: iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017
Illustrator 2018: Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 22.1.0Three images attached:
1) tried to select a line and the dot to the left was selected
2) tried to select the text and the circle around the text was converted to text on a path
3) tried to select the text and the dimension line was converted to text on a pathIn all cases the cursor is clearly not on the wrong object. During selection was zoomed in to 200% on a drawing which is drawn to HALF scale.
