DXF files not coming in to scale
Catalina
New Illustrator update 25.1 — DXF scaling is off, not correct.
Original size nor does it work using 100% scaling import.
Previous version no problem... DXF files come in to scale "original size"
We have fixed the issue in AI version 25.2. Would request you to let us know in case you still run out into this issue.
Thanks,

Hello,
I don't have problem with v.26.5.
Did you check "original size" when you open your DXF?
You can try to install the last version 26.4.1 for testing your DXF.
Have a nice day. -

Hello,
This issue has come up again in Illustrator 26.5.I had a DXF object that was 1030 mm wide in AutoCAD. When placed in Illustrator it has been imported at 1092.297 mm.
Can you please help?
Thanks,

Good day,
a while ago, a colleague warned me that when she tried to open a DXF file in Illustrator 2021 (25.1), and even if it was set to "Keep original size" correctly, the size would not be preserved but it would be reduced in some way.
The old version of Illustrator 2020 (24.3) works correctly. More
in the video here: https://youtu.be/W_A5uohb9wMI'm also attaching a sample file where you can verify it.
This error is crucial for our work, please fix it quickly.
Regards

I have used Illustrator for years and am bringing DXF files into Illustrator scaled daily. Ive never had an issue til the 2021 upgrade. now no matter what the unit settings are in preferences, it will only bring in one scale.... tiny....
I can no longer bring in full scale or even scale it other than tiny....
Also Ill 21 files with PDF links embedded into them, no longer keep swatch attributes when they are layered onto the same object with another fill. The swatch falls away. I've also noticed the embedded PDF file with transparency attributes on an object no longer show as transparent in the Ill 21 file the pdf is linked into. I love working in Illustrator desperately need these to work. Please help. I'm trying to find a work around so I can keep working. -

I'm having the same issue. AI 25.1 and Mac OS 11.1.
I save a sketch as dxf in Fusion 360. When I open it in AI, it is very very small. A 6" wide dxf in F360 is opening at .06" wide.
I've reverted back to AI 25.0.1 until this gets fixed.

I am also generating DXF files from Gerber software. This is software for making apparel and soft goods sewing patterns. I export the files as "standard DXF" files. The files import fine in v25.0, but not v 25.1.

This is still an issue with Illustrator 2021 ver 25.1. Illustrator 2019 works fine works fine.
I'm exporting from Fusion 360 ("save as DXF") and importing on a Mac running Big Sur. -

When importing a DXF it does not import to correct scale regardless of units or options chosen. If I roll back to a previous version, it works fine.

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out.
By any chance was the file generated out of Fusion 360 software?
We have fixed a similar issue and you would see it fine in the upcoming release.
To be double sure can you provide me a sample file showing this issue? shareWithAI@adobe.comWaiting for your response.
Thanks,

updated to Illustrator v 25.1 today
Running Windows 10 on a Dell laptop
Working with .dxf files exported out of a different program. I normally open them in Illustrator to print them using scale to 100%, 1 to 1 unit in inches. It has worked great for the last few months. Today it refuses to convert the file to actual size. I think it is keeping it in pixels rather than inches. Something that was supposed to be 45" long by about 10" tall keeps coming up the size of my thumbnail. I tried previously converted dxf files that I had opened and printed last month without any problems. Now they too only open in tiny size.
