Unable to save
This is not an idea, it is a serious bug.
Apple OS Mojave - latest version, Illustrator 2022 - latest version.
Saving doesn't happen. Clicking File>Save As and nothing happens, no dialogue pops up, nothing. Trying shortcuts on the keyboard. Same. Trying to quit the program, shows File not saved/ I click Save FIle and it does nothing. So, unless I force quit, there is no way to close the program. Illustrator seems to not initiate any action on my attempts to perform a SAVE. It is a HUGE problem for my work!

For over a year now I have been unable to Save or Save as. In a new file, when I attempt to Save or Save as literally nothing happens. No dialog box, no error message, nothing. I have to save as a copy then reopen the copy, at this point it will save changes but I still get no dialog box and cannot save as.
I was unable to save files if its stored in the file server.
It saving works if its saved locally.
Is there a fix for this?

Since the 2021 updates to Illustrator, at random times the program is no longer able to save in any format, either existing files or newly created ones. It also no longer saves Recovery Data. When trying to save, the message "Cannot find file" appears. Copying the information to a new file and saving still elicits the same message. Creating a new file and putting new content in it cannot be saved either. This is true whether saving to the desktop or to a network drive. Once the message appears, there is no option but to quit and restart the application.. This has occurred twice now since the latest update .

Same for me. It says I do not have enough "access privileges" Very frustrating.

I am completely unable to save a file and about to lose an afternoons work on a deadline. I have tried every workaround posted here and still not working. Come on Adobe, this has been reported for months.
