Problem with linked png files
I opened a file I had last edited in January 2022 and it says there are a lot of missing files. Upon inspection it turns out only the png files are missing, jpegs are still linked. Now when I try to relink the missing files nothing happens. I'm taken back to the dialog box which said that the file is missing. There's no way for me to relink the pngs!
OS: Mojave, 10.14.6
Illustrator: 25.4.8

The only way for me to fix this issue was to upgrade the OS to Catalina and then update Illustrator. The last version of Illustrator supported on Mojave will have this issue and I don't think Adobe would be interested in fixing this for such an old OS.

I have the exact same problem with PNG files since the last update 25.4.8 a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't matter its a new file with a new png. Or if it is an old file trying to open linked png files. It do not work anymore.

Can you grab the file with the .png images and send them over sharewithai@adobe.com privately? The team will try to investigate.
