AI CC V 28.1 Windows 10 Extrusion (3D and materials) no more working for some objects
I am no more able to complete the extrusion of a disc object for which I previously removed parts of it using the pathfinder substraction tool. Substraction is working well, but extrusion is not. Once started, the extrusion process does not complete. I had to revert to Illustrator 28.0 to make it work.

You are welcome ! You used version 27.9 to make it work. As I said previously, it is also working in version 28.0. This is the version I am using right now. The problem really appeared in version 28.1. Last question : how do we know that the problem is solved without checking every new version ? Thanks again for the follow up.

I see. Trying to extrude it in Ai 28.1 takes more than 3 minutes for me, at it’s safe to assume it won’t finish. The artwork though has a ton of fine details, results in a VERY complex mesh...
However, trying to do the same in 27.9, it takes Illustrator ONE second for me to get a result.
Beta fails at rendering anything as well. So something clearly has gone awry... Thanks for the report! -

Hello Egor, in the PDF, the extruded version was obtained with Adobe Illustrator 28.0 from the flat version also given in the PDF. When trying to extrude the same flat version in Illustrator version 28.1, the process starts but never ends... Therefore, I cannot show you anything extruded from Illustrator 28.1.

Hmm. It looks extruded fine for me in the PDF just viewed or imported in Ai... All details are in place, as far as I can see.
Can you please show exactly which parts you can spot in the flat version, but no in the 3D coin? Some screenshots will suffice.
