'“Duplicate Artboards” in the Artboards panel duplicates from the last artboard in the selection' has been merged into this idea

Order of duplicated artboards is reversed

A big issue is that if you select several artboards at once to duplicate them and they were in order
A
B
C
they used to duplicate as
copy of A
copy of B
copy of C

Since the latest Illustrator update they mirror instead, as
copy of C
copy of B
copy of A

Makes batch duplication worthless and I now have to duplicate each one separately OR do the set and then move them around manually.

    Adobe - please go back to the original behavior. This one just adds unnecessary steps having to either copy multiples one at a time, or copy multiples and then having to re-arrange it.

    It feels like this bug can be OS-specific... But there was a time it worked fine at Windows. Sometimes between 27 and 28 versions it got broke — just as monokano says below and Sergey confirms.

    Illustrator 2025 (29.4)

    When selecting multiple artboards in the Artboards panel and executing **“Duplicate Artboards”** from the panel menu, **the duplication starts from the last artboard in the selection list** (i.e., the bottommost among the selected artboards).
    This behavior is unintuitive and differs from previous versions.

    - **2023 (v27.9.6):** Duplication starts from the first artboard in the selection (expected behavior)
    - **2024 (v28.7.5):** Duplication starts from the last artboard in the selection (unexpected behavior)

    This suggests that the issue was introduced in the 2024 version.

    ## Steps to Reproduce
    1. Create multiple artboards
    2. In the Artboards panel, select multiple artboards
    3. From the panel menu, choose **“Duplicate Artboards”**

    ### Actual Result
    Duplication starts from the **last artboard in the selection** (the one that appears lowest in the Artboards panel).

    ### Expected Result
    Duplication should start from the **first artboard in the selection** (the one that appears highest in the Artboards panel), consistent with previous versions.

    **「アートボードを複製」が、選択中の末尾のアートボードから複製される**

    アートボードパネルで複数のアートボードを選択し、パネルメニューから「アートボードを複製」を実行すると、選択中のアートボードの中で一番下にあるもの（＝パネル上の末尾のアートボード）から複製が始まります。
    この動作は直感的ではなく、過去のバージョンとは異なっています。

    ・2023（v27.9.6）： 複製は選択中の先頭のアートボードから始まる（期待される動作）
    ・2024（v28.7.5）： 複製は選択中の末尾のアートボードから始まる（不自然な動作）

    このことから、本不具合は2024バージョンで新たに発生したものと考えられます。

    **再現手順**
    1. 複数のアートボードを作成する
    2. アートボードパネルで複数のアートボードを選択する
    3. パネルメニューから 「アートボードを複製」 を実行する

    **実際の結果**
    複製は、選択中のアートボードのうち、アートボードパネル上で最も下にあるものから始まります。

    **期待される結果**
    複製は、選択中のアートボードのうち、アートボードパネル上で最も上にあるものから始まるべきです（過去のバージョンと同様の挙動）。
