Pattern Scale Not Working
My pattern scale has stopped working recently for user created patterns (it works ok on the default patterns). Previously I could create a pattern but dragging into the swatch menu, and then when I dragged the corners, the scale of the pattern would adjust along with the size of my shape. Now it does not.
I have checked that "Transform Both (object and pattern)" is selected from the Transform Panel dropdown, along with Settings > General > Transform Pattern Tiles is also checked on.
This has been going on since late July 2025 - I've tried every troubleshooting method I can think of along with suggestions I've seen posted. This morning I reset my illustrator preferences (didn't work) and just unstalled and reinstalled Illustrator via Creative Cloud (fulling removing preferences during uninstall). It is still not working after the reinstall.
Please help! This is a large part of my workflow that's affected. The ONLY way I can get a pattern to scale now is through cmd+click on object > Transform > Scale - which is cumbersome. Is there anything else I can try to reinstate the normal pattern scaling?
Operating System: Mac OS Sequoia 15.6, Adobe Illustrator 29.7.1

Yes, as Egor mentioned, Live Shapes without strokes.
As a workaround: Object > Shape > Expand Shape -
Happens only for live shapes without stroke it seems

It doesn't work in all version after 29.5.1 for me.

And it sometimes works and does not work with the same (user defined dragged and existing) pattern in a single document.

I have been having the same problem since July 27th. I'm on a 16" Macbook Pro - 2019, Sequoia 15.6, Illustrator 29.7.1. Apparently it is bug from the 29.6.1 update.
I NEED to rotate pattern tiles as part of my design job. Please help us!!

Super broken, and in Beta it works even worse, when holding Shift to constrain scaling — the patter gets scaled accelerated, and this now affects both premade and custom patterns.
