Illustrator slow and laggy with text

When I'm trying to edit a text box, illustrator turns very slow and laggy. With a simple text box. When I try to change font size, or writting, it takes ages to assume it. And the document turns very slow.

Please help with this issue

Soraia, can you record a small video of you trying to work with text, please?
You’re on Catalina, right? Can you share other specs your computer has?
