Illustrator changes text after modifying a text box with White Arrow tool
Illustrator changes text after modifying a text box with White Arrow tool. Its been happening for a few weeks. I work in a professional big corporate company and its changing my layouts after I am doing changes and it is really problematic.
This needs fixing right away. In packaging if some text is changed after I make layout changes it can have serious legal ramifications.
Works as it should now, in 30.2.1 build. Please update and comment back in case it still misbehaves for you.

Oh, I wish never of these bugs happened at all... Ai is just that large that any change can nudge something very important and written decades ago. And there's no 'rewrite it from scratch' route, because it’s constantly in use by us. Glad this one is gone.

I was running the version just previous to 30.2.1, I updated right after I sent my request yesterday and it seems fine now. But Really this should never ever ever ever happen again. And its something that is very hard to notice. So I am not 100% sure its fixed.
I was zoomed in and executed a bunch of changes and sent something to proofing, only for my client to tell me that all the layouts had moved.
This is super critical and as I say can have serious legal ramifications.

David, what version do you have? Is it 30.2.1?
A similar bug was reported and confirmed as fixed in 30.2.1, http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50781968
