Illustrator 2026 allows use to choose if we want Smart Guides to be limited to the currently active artboard.
We can toggle the behavior in Preferences > Smart Guides section, in Limit Snapping block, with the new Snap Within: Active Artboard.
Please try to use it and comment back to tell if it behaves as you expect it to. Any feedback is really appreciated and would help to shape it further.

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

Can we also add to this that you have some way of automatically setting up guides to an artboard. Like Figma, Indesign, Photoshop or whatever other design software you use.

This is like so tedious that sometimes I go into indesign and create a layout and copy it into illustrator just to save time, and its such a basic feature of any design package that I don't think we should be needing to install 3rd party stuff to do it.
Great as your suggestions are installing 3rd party plugins means everytime you change computers you need to reinstall them. I also work in different studios and when you go to another working scenario they don't let you install software.
