No option to stop recording an action when resetting workspace
When recording an action with Button Mode unchecked in the actions panel, there is currently no way to stop recording the action if you reset your Workspace with your Workspace having button mode enabled. As far as I know, there are also no hotkeys to start/stop recording for Actions either. Forced to restart Illustrator otherwise.

Batching an action with variables works wrong
I have an action that:
- Selects "Next Data Set"
- Runs a recolour script to colour the artwork based on data set values
- Then "save as copy"
When it is run once it works as expected and saves the current data set as a copy PDF and advances to the next data set. When the action is run as a Batch Action the action goes nuts! It advances multiple data sets values and saves as a completely different data set name. This wouldn't really be an issue if I had 10 or 20 data sets, but I have over 1000 —…

Using Batch... and "Override save/export commands" does not work
Example: I have an action that prepares a logo file, then saves to ai and svg, and exports to png and jpg.
I have it recorded as an action, and it runs great.
If I try to use "Batch..." to run it on a folder of images I have options to "Override Action 'Save' commands" and "Override Action 'Export' commands" that will let you point the save/export commands to a new folder. This is great in theory, but does not work right.
After running the batch, I only have 2 files. Not 4. The Save as AI then SVG steps…

Buttons in Properties panel not recording in an action
When recording an action, there are things in the Properties panel that does not record properly.
Example: Flip horizontally/vertically. The buttons does not record, but choosing the same options from the Transform panel menu does record.
Is anyone maintaining Actions in Illustrator? It is awesome, but still needlessly limited due to many things not recording, forced hard-coded paths when recording save steps, etc.
Perhaps learn a little from Photoshop where actions work better (though still limited).2 votes -
Ability to record the "Make Pixel Perfect" action
Please add a feature to the AI Action to able to record "Object > Make Pixel Perfect". It's needed when I prepare bitmap assets for HTML5 Advertising in Animate CC

Vertical Scrollbar Malfunction with Tablet
I am on a Windows PC running Windows 10 Pro 22H2. I have been having this issue in Illustrator since version 28. I DID upgrade to version 29.1 and it still persists.
I am using a Huion Kamvas Pro 16 GT with the latest driver (15.7.6).
What is occurring is when I use the drawing tablet stylus to manually scroll the vertical scrollbar by grabbing the cursor with the stylus, Illustrator fails to stop scrolling even when removing the stylus from the cursor. Simply dragging the pen stylus across the screen causes everything to scroll wildly. The mouse will not…

Can't change size
The cursor doesn't let me resize anything including text, images and figures.

Annoying popup windows in toolbar
I just got a new computer and had to go to Illustrator 28 (Mac OS 12.7.1). Now nearly every time I want to draw an object or move something around, I get an annoying box full of options. It would be fine if the boxes came up on a right click, but I don't need to see them every darn time. I looked in Preferences but none of the obvious choices made them go away. After many years of Illustrator I know what the options are... I could also do without the automatic "Lorem ipsum" text, but that's relatively minor.…

artwork moving when i select on my macbook pro 2023
When I click to select artwork/objects on my 2023 macbook pro the artwork jumps position, I'm not dragging the artwork and didn't have the issue on earlier macbook (2017) or my 2019 imac. Makes working in illustator really awkward and is frustrating!

Se me cierra illustrator y pierdo el trabajo de mas de 4 hs, aún habiendo guardado el archivo en pdf. No se porque no reconoce todos los cambios y se cierra automáticamente sin informar ningun error. Tengo windows 10

Good evening, I cannot create a new file on Adobe Illustrator.
As usual, I click on File > New, then no answer, nothing happen...Any suggestion ?
I uninstall the app then install again, same error.

language translation problem in Illustrator Actions
If you define the swatch none in Actions (in the Englisch version),
in the Dutch version you get the message: the swatch can not be found
(message in Dutch: Het staal kan niet worden gevonden)

Değişkenler panelinden veri kümesi bağlıyorum. Sorunsuz çalışıyor. Eylemler panelinden yeni eylem oluşturup pdf olarak kayıt yapıyorum. Toplu iş ekranından az önce oluşturduğum eylemi seçiyorum, kaynak olarak veri kümesini seçiyorum, dosya adı bölümünde Veri Kümesi Adını seçiyorum ancak çalışmıyor, veri kümesi adıyla kayıt yapmıyor. Hatta ordaki 3 seçeneğin 3 üde çalışmıyor.MacOs Monterey Sürüm 12.2

Copy-Paste from CAD
In Windows (or earlier versions, I don't know where could be the difference) I could simply Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V from a AutoCAD drawing to Illustrator and it would paste the lines perfectly (as a group though).
Now in Mac, it pastes a temp file direction.
