1. Saving to Creative Cloud is Changing My Patterns

   This has to do with repeating patterns. I'm using Adobe Illustrator 2021, desktop.
   Attached is a picture of 2 circles on a background (shield your eyes, it isn't pretty :-)). When I make the pattern - in this case, the circles were drawn with the blob brush - the inside of the 2 circles is empty and we can all see the background. It's a ring. When I pull that pattern out of swatches, however, it will color in that background. In this one, it's black. It changes depending on the pattern and the colors I'm using. And it is not consistent. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it happens to just some motifs in a design and not others.
   After countless tries to figure out what it is, it does appear to be that patterns saved to Adobe's Creative Cloud will have this happen, whereas if I save it to my computer, it will not. Thank you for the help!

2. Align Text box with Object

   Using Windows 7 or High Sierra and Illustrator 24.2

   Align text with any object is not aligned properly. Presently it takes text box and actual height/width of text and aligns object width/height.

   I understand this is way Illustrator text work, but can changed/update so can properly aligns. Hoping to get it resolved in near coming versions.

   The alignment should work like Indesign or any vector program. Check attachment.

   You can now choose to align to preview bound of a type object, using Align to Glyph Bounds option in Align panel’s menu.

   Please comment back if you have any problems with that.

3. Pathfinder Incorrect Work

   I have a problem with Pathfinder in new Illustrator version 24 (2020) (macOS 10.15.1). Please look at the image attached. Pathfinder doesn't cut a compound shape out of a path or another compound shape. It merges the two instead.
   It worked fine in the previous version of Illustrator.

5. ILLUSTRATOR 2020 CRASHES ON SCRIPTS - SYMLINK - APPLE

   Hi, We are using with our company the folder Scripts (Presets Illustrator) that is connected to a Cloud folder with a Symbolic Link (Apple) = Production workflow. It allways worked in previous versions but after installing Illustrator 2020 - Illustrator allways crashed when you go to main menu "File". Can you give us a solutions for this! Urgent issue for us !

6. Export as SVG: linked image gets deleted

   Hi All,
   I have an issue when exporting to SVG.
   I created an AI file with a linked jpg image as a background, and some text on top.
   When I export to SVG, the original jpg image gets deleted (I mean the original file, it disappears from Finder, it's not even in the recycle bin) and then Illustrator gives me the message "Some files are missing or modified in the links panel. Would you like to update them now?".
   So, the first time I export, the SVG is saved correctly but I lose the original image file, if I try to export again I get an SVG with no background image, because the link is broken.
   I tried to embed the image in the AI file before exporting. When I export the first time, same as before, SVG is correct but I lose the image file, even if it's embedded and not linked, this is very strange. If I try again without original image file, I get an SVG file with background image, but it's much bigger than before, like 400kb instead of 80kb. Comparing the 2 SVGs, I see in the code that the first one has the image embedded as jpg, and the second as png, don't know why.

7. CC 2018: Objects on top of textframes are no longer selectable

   I made a clear video to illustrate this (annoying) bug.
   My colleague has not yet updated Illustrator and is using the latest 2017 version.
   I have updated to 2018.

   - On notebook 1: I created a textfield with rectangle on top. I can select the textframe and the rectangle on top easily. They are on the same layer.
   - On notebook 2: I did the exact same, but it has become impossible to select the rectangle.

   I cannot imagine this is done on purpose.
   I understand that I would not be able to select the rectangle if it was below the textframe, but not if it's on top....

8. Layer import BUG from .ai file (v29.8.1) to InDesign

   When I import a multipage .ai file created with version 29.8.1 of Adobe Illustrator into InDesign, the layers that I can view or hide are multiplied for each page of the .ai document.

   All - we have fixed this issue with Illustrator v30.1 and v29.8.4.

   Please try this with Ai files saved from 30.1 build with Background Save turned on.

9. Color Picker lets objects disappear in Outline Mode and in Exports!

   When you use the Color Picker to change the color of texts, then this will lead to the problem, that every object of the same layer disappears in the Outline Mode AND much more worse: in the export.

   1. Create a new file.
   2. Create one ore more text objects. And some other path objects too, if you like.
   3. Use the Color Picker (!! not any other color tool) to change the color of a text.
   4. Go to the Outline Mode (ctrl+y) and see that every object seems to be invisible.
   5. Try to export the file (Export as..., e.g. JPG). You will see that these objects are not visible in this exported file.

   The objects "come back" only after some further transformations on them.

   Illustrator 27.5
   Windows 10

   In Illustrator 26.5 this bug does NOT appear.

   And by the way: Illustrator 27.6 has a bunch of so many new bugs just after starting it. Please please please test your software yourself before you release it to the customers!
   I will leave the Adobe Software for sure if this style of programming is the future.

   Kindly do “Check for Update” on Creative Cloud Desktop Update section and issue will be no longer reproducible.

11. 文字パネル内でピリオド入力ができない。

    文字パネル内でフォントサイズや行送りなどの調整で小数点を指定する際に.（ピリオド）を入力しても反映されず、整数のみの数字として認識されてしまいます。

12. 2020ファイルフォーマット、後方互換性の破壊

    iMac 27inch(2020/32GB/1TB/Corei5)
    macOS10.15.7

    リンク配置したJPG画像に対してエフェクトをかけると以前のバージョンのイラストレータ（ver.24およびver.25）でPGF部分を正常に認識できずにPDF部分より復元しようとする。

    再現手順
    1.　ver.26.0.1にて新規ドキュメントを作成し、JPG画像を配置する。JPG画像自体は埋め込まずリンク画像としてあつかう。
    2.　配置画像に対して「効果→スタイライズ→ドロップシャドウ」のアピアランスを適用する。
    3.　2020形式で当該ファイルを保存。
    4.　Illustrator2021にて当該ファイルを開くとネイティブ部分のデータを読み込めず、ダイアログが表示されPDF部分のデータよりリカバリを行おうとする。

    実際の結果
    旧バージョンにてIllustratorファイルを正常に開くことが出来ない。

    期待される結果
    2020形式で保存した場合、ver.24及び25にて従来のように正常にファイルを開くことができる。

    これはJPG画像をリンクとして配置したものにエフェクトを適用すると起こるようです。スタイライズのみならずトリムマークやPhotoshop効果等でも同様の症状が出ます。
    しかしながら、すべてのJPGで再現するわけではありません。条件を特定しようとしたのですが特定に至っていません。
    当該ファイルを添付いたしますので確認頂けると幸いです。

13. 配置画像のリンク切れ

    macOS Big Sur ver.11.5.2 Illustrator ver.25.3.1 M1Universal

    intele MacでパッケージをしたデータをIllustrator ver.25.3.1 M1Universalで開くと画像のリンクが全て外れます。
    またリンクフォルダから1つ配置し直すと本来は全て自動的に読み込み再リンクされますが、これもされず全画像リンク処理をしなければなりません。
    改善策をおしえてください。

14. Mac OS Save As file name highlight bug

    Productivity killing bug in Illustrator 25.2.3, but not Photoshop 22.3.1!:

    Mac OS (Catalina, currently) Save As dialog box highlights the entire file name, including the extension, which has been a bug the past several versions. For over a decade, Save As would not include the extension in the highlight, so one could tap the arrow key once to the end of the file name to change it, to increment a version number for example. This bug has been a huge stumbling block in my productivity.

    Also, in Illustrator, the sometimes Save As does not highlight the file name at all AND the escape key does not dismiss the dialog box. Double bug!

    Here are screen shots of the errors, with Photoshop doing the correct behavior and being the winner:

15. Type — Different Opacity Settings Not Displayed (GPU Preview)

    Problem:

    • With some type selected, edit the text and change the Opacity of only some letters.
    • Note that those characters do not look changes.
    • Switch to CPU Preview and note that the Opacity of those letters now display as expected.

16. Opacity Doesn't Live Update when using Properties Panel + Keyboard

    AI Version: 25.2
    OS: MacOS 11.2.1
    Using CPU & GPU Preview

    Problem:

    • With an object selected, open the Properties Panel.
    • Click in the Opacity field and use the keyboard to increment the opacity up or down.
    • Note that the object's opacity doesn't change unless the change is accepted either by pressing the Return key, or clicking into the artwork.

    Expected Behaviour:

    • As the opacity is adjusted using the keyboard, the artwork should demonstrate the changed opacity.

    Notes:
    - If you use the Transparency Panel, and adjust the Opacity there, the keyboard commands are recognized as usual.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.1.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

17. Illustrator crashes when switching views in the Asset Export panel

    Has this been reported yet? There's a really easy-to-reproduce crash bug in Adobe Illustrator involving the Asset Export panel that affects even the latest version (24.2) .
    If the Asset Export panel contains more than two items and an item other than the first is currently being renamed and the view is attempted to be switched from Grid View to List View, the mouse cursor will begin to move really slowly for a few seconds and after that, Illustrator will crash. See the video attached for a demonstration.

    Adobe Illustrator 24.2
    OS: Windows
    Version: 10.0
    System Architecture: x64
    Built-In Memory: 16348 MB

    On a slightly unrelated note, I accidentally checked "Don't ask again" on the Adobe Crash reporter that would normally appear after this and I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to re-enable that screen.

18. Key object selection mismatch

    When I select two objects and choose the key object for allignment, the top allignment option shows the «Align to key object» and object gets highlighted, however if I go to the sidebar to introduce a spacing number it shows «Align to selection» instead and I need to change the option again. This is so frustrating.

19. Applying Crop Filter causes illustrator to crash

    Hi, I've been trying to use the crop tool from Pathfinder today and every time it's very slow, then freezes, then crashes.. I've got the latest update.. What can be the reason?

20. Some Dashed Lines make Ai crash

    When typing these values in the Dashed Line fields:
    0 2 0 2

    Ai crashes immediately, without a warning.
