  1. Illustrator 30.7 Bug – First Color in Recolor Artwork “Current Colors” Incorrectly Appears Gray

    After updating Adobe Illustrator to version 30.7, I am experiencing an issue with the Recolor Artwork feature. The first/original color in the Recolor Artwork panel is being displayed as gray, even though the actual artwork color is green.

    Before the update, the color was correctly recognized and displayed as green. This issue appears to have started after installing the latest Illustrator update.

    Expected behavior: The original color should be correctly recognized and displayed as green in the Recolor Artwork panel.

  2. Recolor not working with Color Books

    1. Windows 11 Pro 25H2
    2. Adobe Illustrator Desktop v30.7
    3. Steps: Select artwork to be recolored>in the recolor advanced options diaglogue panel select the color book (doesn't appear to matter which one)>results are that some or all of the "new" colors are 50%black.
    4. Until yesterday when I updated Illustrator to the most recent version, recoloring cmyk or rgb colors to a specific color book, specifically my old pantone+ solid coated color book as that's what I use for work, returned the expected pantone+ solid coated equivelant colors consistently. Help please!

  4. MAJOR ISSUE: The new update does not let you decouple horizontal and vertical sizes!!

    The new update does not let you decouple horizontal and vertical sizes. I've unlocked them and toggled every possible option. Ex: I have a 3x5 shape, and want to make it 4x5. It will ONLY make it 4x6.7516 in. HUGE ISSUE.

  5. Color settings become unsynchronized when any image gets placed in document

    After the 30.2.1 update, (mac os 26.3.1, Win 11) I noticed a very strange and annoying behavior in Illustrator. It's about Color Settings. I use "Europe General Purpose 3" and I apply it via Bridge to all apps, i.e. Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Everything works and when I look in those apps color settings — I see "synchronized" everywhere. However, if I place any image in Illustrator — "synchronized" immediately changes to "unsynchronised". Even if I change to "Europe General Purpose 3" in the settings dropdown (in Illustrator) again and save the Ai document - when it opens, I see…

  6. Swatch pattern reduces scale when copied from one illustrator document to another

    When I copy a CAD drawing from one illustrator document to another, the pattern swatch scale in the CAD reduces.
    I've noticed it doesn't happen with every swatch, only some. Sometimes the CAD itself will also reduce scale.
    I have also noticed that if I create a new document I won't have this issue, however when I paste it into an already existing document, this is when the problem is usually occurring.
    I have doubled checked the canvas size for both documents, and they are the same.
    This is in version 30.2.1.

  7. Files saved are missing images when imported into Photoshop, InDesign, other apps

    Lately I am having problems with linked files in Illustrator not showing up when I open the file in Photoshop for instance, even though everything looks fine in Illustrator in the original file. I have to go into the Links menu and relink everything one at a time and resave to make it work. I also notice that the file size is smaller when the linked files don't work.

    I tend to use linked files a lot and have for years so this isn't a case of unfamiliarity with the tool.

    This has been fixed in the latest version - 30.3.


    This fix would not correct the existing damaged files but should not happen on new files saved from newest version. Existing files can be corrected by resaving them in latest version.

  8. Stroke scaling bug in Illustrator even with “Scale Strokes & Effects” enabled

    Hi Adobe team,

    I would like to report an issue regarding stroke behavior in Adobe Illustrator.

    Even with “Scale Strokes & Effects” enabled in both Preferences and the Transform panel, the stroke weight still changes incorrectly when scaling objects. When scaling down, the stroke becomes thinner than expected, and when scaling up, it becomes thicker than it should.

  9. Scroll wheel is very slow and unresponsive in Adobe Illustrator 30.0

  10. Acrobat layers duplicate excessively in AI file’s compatible PDF

    Illustrator 2025 (29.8.2)

    When “Save in Background” is enabled, the Acrobat layers in the compatible PDF within AI files duplicate according to the number of artboards. For example, when there are 10 artboards and 2 layers, there should be 2 Acrobat layers, but instead 20 layers are generated.

  11. Artboards & Content are displaced after saving and opening a file

    After saving & opening a file with multiple art boards, many of the artboards and/or their content is shifted around the canvas. I already tried all kinds things, even creating a new file and copying everything over. The bug happens again and again – and it's unpredictable, sometimes it's just one element, sometimes it's half of all the content.

    Working with Version 29.8.1, the file is in large format mode, Mac OS 25 (latest). Not saving on a cloud synced folder.

  12. Layer import BUG from .ai file (v29.8.1) to InDesign

    When I import a multipage .ai file created with version 29.8.1 of Adobe Illustrator into InDesign, the layers that I can view or hide are multiplied for each page of the .ai document.

  13. Recent colors become None when Global or Spot Colors are used

    Some Recent Colors are displayed as the None Swatch when Spot or Global colors have been added to the Recent Colors.
    Turn on in the Edit > Color Settings all checkboxes for warnings about Mismatches or Missing profiles.
    The default is unchecked. When they are unchecked, you will get no warning when opening a file with Global (or Spot) Colors in the Recent Colors and the file just opens without showing the problem.

  15. Swatches disappear in Swatches panel when switching between documents

    I've got two documents open. An RGB one, and a CMYK one. When I CMD+TAB between the two, all the current swatches disappear. I have to click on a different 'view swatches' button to make them appear. This happens EVERY TIME. I just updated to the latest version of Illustrator thinking it would fix it, but it doesn't.

  16. Recent Colors is adding the [None] swatch as K=0 and apply white

    When fill is focused, setting [None] adds the white (K=0) chip into Recent Colors sections.

  17. Fonts changing in files when opened in Illustrator 29.5.1

    Existing files created in illustrator (on a different desktop) when opened in v29.5 & v29.5.1 display incorrect fonts - the font is changed to a completely different font (e.g. Myriad Pro will be changed to Times New Roman) throughout the document. All the text in that font family is changed, but other fonts used in the document will display correctly. The font is installed correctly on the system and the changed font can be changed to the correct font by selecting the font from the illustrator font list.   18. Selecting a path no longer helps to select its anchor below another anchor above from an unselected path

    iMac running Ventura 13.5.2
    Illustrator 29.4

    Since the latest update (I think), I cannot select anchor points that are below others like I used to.

    Until now, I used to be able to click on the object from which I wanted to select an anchor point (black line in the movie), then click on the desired anchor point with the white arrow and it would select the anchor point from this object.

    Now it selects the anchor point from the other object that is above (red line). Which means now I need to bring the first object to the front…

  20. Undo Release Clipping Mask Does Nothing

    I recently noticed that if I unclip an object, by accident or necessity, that I cannot undo the step either through the menu Undo or Command key Undo.

    I can clip and Command-Z to unclip.
    I can manually unclip and Command-Z to reclip.
    If I clip, I Command-z to unclip and then Command + Option + Z to redo my last action and it will properly clip.

    But if I just manually unclip, and then use the Undo command to reclip it like it was? It doesn't work. Nothing happens and it moves on in the history.
