  1. Acrobat layers duplicate excessively in AI file’s compatible PDF

    Illustrator 2025 (29.8.2)

    When “Save in Background” is enabled, the Acrobat layers in the compatible PDF within AI files duplicate according to the number of artboards. For example, when there are 10 artboards and 2 layers, there should be 2 Acrobat layers, but instead 20 layers are generated.

  2. Artboards & Content are displaced after saving and opening a file

    After saving & opening a file with multiple art boards, many of the artboards and/or their content is shifted around the canvas. I already tried all kinds things, even creating a new file and copying everything over. The bug happens again and again – and it's unpredictable, sometimes it's just one element, sometimes it's half of all the content.

    Working with Version 29.8.1, the file is in large format mode, Mac OS 25 (latest). Not saving on a cloud synced folder.

  3. Layer import BUG from .ai file (v29.8.1) to InDesign

    When I import a multipage .ai file created with version 29.8.1 of Adobe Illustrator into InDesign, the layers that I can view or hide are multiplied for each page of the .ai document.

    Windows 11 Pro.

  4. Recent colors become None when Global or Spot Colors are used

    Some Recent Colors are displayed as the None Swatch when Spot or Global colors have been added to the Recent Colors.
    Turn on in the Edit > Color Settings all checkboxes for warnings about Mismatches or Missing profiles.
    The default is unchecked. When they are unchecked, you will get no warning when opening a file with Global (or Spot) Colors in the Recent Colors and the file just opens without showing the problem.

    それとオプションの「割注」などの項目消失がかなりあります！

  6. Swatches disappear in Swatches panel when switching between documents

    I've got two documents open. An RGB one, and a CMYK one. When I CMD+TAB between the two, all the current swatches disappear. I have to click on a different 'view swatches' button to make them appear. This happens EVERY TIME. I just updated to the latest version of Illustrator thinking it would fix it, but it doesn't.

  7. Recent Colors is adding the [None] swatch as K=0 and apply white

    When fill is focused, setting [None] adds the white (K=0) chip into Recent Colors sections.
    Doesn’t happen for strokes.

  8. Fonts changing in files when opened in Illustrator 29.5.1

    Existing files created in illustrator (on a different desktop) when opened in v29.5 & v29.5.1 display incorrect fonts - the font is changed to a completely different font (e.g. Myriad Pro will be changed to Times New Roman) throughout the document. All the text in that font family is changed, but other fonts used in the document will display correctly. The font is installed correctly on the system and the changed font can be changed to the correct font by selecting the font from the illustrator font list.   9. Selecting a path no longer helps to select its anchor below another anchor above from an unselected path

    iMac running Ventura 13.5.2
    Illustrator 29.4

    Since the latest update (I think), I cannot select anchor points that are below others like I used to.

    Until now, I used to be able to click on the object from which I wanted to select an anchor point (black line in the movie), then click on the desired anchor point with the white arrow and it would select the anchor point from this object.

    Now it selects the anchor point from the other object that is above (red line). Which means now I need to bring the first object to the front…

  11. Undo Release Clipping Mask Does Nothing

    I recently noticed that if I unclip an object, by accident or necessity, that I cannot undo the step either through the menu Undo or Command key Undo.

    I can clip and Command-Z to unclip.
    I can manually unclip and Command-Z to reclip.
    If I clip, I Command-z to unclip and then Command + Option + Z to redo my last action and it will properly clip.

    But if I just manually unclip, and then use the Undo command to reclip it like it was? It doesn't work. Nothing happens and it moves on in the history.

  12. 29.1.0 'Isolate selected group' menu item missing on right click menu when a nested group is selected.

    Illustrator version 29.1.0
    Windows 10.0.19045

    To replicate:

    1. Create group that contains a group
    2. Select group
    3. Right click the group
    4. 'Isolate selected group' menu item missing. In its place is the new 'Ungroup all' item.

    When the above actions are performed to a group without a nested group, the 'Isolate selected group' menu item appears as it should.

  13. Font changes from the current one to the previously used while typing

    I'm working on a document in which I used Avenir font, but for the most I use Myriad Pro. When I click with the Type tool I see in the character box I'm with the default font (Myriad Pro) and start typing. Then noticed I'm now in Avenir font!
    This bug is brand new with the latest update (29.1), I didn't add any issue of that type before.
    I'm on Windows 11 PC Core i7-13700 32 Go of RAM

  14. Using Color Mixer in Control panel for stroke changes the color of the fill instead

    I encountered this problem as seen in the GIF.
    Selecting a stroke or fill from the control bar menu changes the active appearance. When using sliders, it doesn't. i have tested on different Windows 11 machines and different documents. Replicated the issue every time.

  15. Distorted curve line when saving an SVG

    Hello, when we save from AI/EPS to SVG file, the 'f' edge path of the logo automatically becomes out of shape. We tried different colors and it works fine. This issue only happen on white SVG. Please help.

  16. Smooth Tool oversmooths

    Manual use of the Smooth Tool over smooths no matter what I set the fidelity to.
    This tool used to be so helpful in smoothing out rough areas or sharp corners but the new Illustrator 2025 (Desktop) PC version way over smooths.
    This makes everything a blob instead of providing the polished finishing touch it used to give.
    Now I have to manually remove unwanted points to achieve and retain desired shapes.

  17. Ai2025 - The Pencil tool has become unusable again! There's no accuracy—it’s too smooth!!!

    I’m here to post about the same issue I did in 2014.
    The Pencil tool has become unusable once again! It’s smoothing too much, even on the maximum accuracy setting (left first slider tick).

    Back in 2014, when Adobe rewrote the Pencil tool, you removed the previous numeric settings and replaced them with four ticks. All of them were too smooth and took too much control over the path, leading to imprecise bubbly and smooth drawings.

  19. Illustrator Version 28.7.1 - xmpfile does not have a constructor ( using Extendscript with Illustrator )

    OS: macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)
    Illustrator version 28.7.1

    Prior to this update I have been able through extendscript to read XMP data from a file. After the update I get an error:

    "XMPfile does not have a constructor".

    on the line of code:
    var xmpf = new XMPFile(.........

    Reverting to the prior version resolves the issue.

  20. XMPMeta is not defined on ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS #515

    As of ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS, XMPMeta has stopped working. However, it works fine on:
    - ILST 28.7.1 on Windows
    - ILST 28.6 on MacOs

    The issue also exists on ILST (Beta) 29.1 on MacOs.

    Example code:
    ```
    if (!ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript) {
    ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript = new ExternalObject('lib:AdobeXMPScript');
    }

    const xmp = new XMPMeta(app.activeDocument.XMPString); // throws XMPMeta does not have a constructor
