I agree, sticky it should be.

Static symbols make smaller files because they all refer to a single symbol that is stored only once in the file, change that symbol and all instances will change.
With Dynamic Symbols you have more editing flexibility, you can have more variation within the instances of that symbol. But these instances are all stored individually in the file, making it much larger.

The file that does not work is a Large Canvas Document, they don't seem to support Save for Web.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.1.1 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Sorry Marcel, I was joking, the pixel problem is solved because there are no pixels, it is empty with x-1a.

Saving as PDF/X-1a solves at least the pixel problem :-)

Acrobat 8 compatibility gives the same problem for me.

Looks like the problem is solved. I assume by After Effects, PNG files from AE CC 2018 15.0.1 work fine in Illustrator CC 2018 (and older versions). Good!

It is very easy to reproduce, any PNG file rendered from After Effects has this behaviour (since years).
But how do you attach a sample file here?

We have released the support for Pattern swatches in CC Library with our latest release - v29.3

You can select the swatch in swatches panel and add it to CC Library through the button on the bottom bar in the panel. You can also select any object which has pattern applied and add that pattern to CC Library through Add Elements (+ button at the bottom) from the Libraries panel and choose Fill Pattern from the drop-down menu.

Update to this version from your Creative Cloud Desktop application and let us know your feedback.

    As a workaround:
Global colors, gradients, brushes and pattern swatches are not supported in CC libraries.
But as a workaround you can drag an object using a brush/pattern/gradient/spot or global color to the CC Library
You can also drag multiple items using different brushes/patterns/gradients/global colors together into a CC library to simulate a library.
The easiest way to add them to a new document is to hold down the Alt key when you drag them from the library and place them in a new document. The patterns/gradients/global colors automatically get added to your swatches panel.
You can hit escape before you click to place the object(s) or delete the dragged library items because the swatches and brushes are now part of the document.

It is a CMYK document. See the difference in values between a single click on the black swatch versus dragging the same black swatch.

There is not much to review.
The bug started with the introduction of the place gun, which adds another click.
It could have been left as is was (and currently still is in Photoshop) just drag and drop it where you want.

It is labeled as a feature request, but it is a bug,
How can we transfer it to the bug section?

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Create a document with layers. Paste Remembers Layers should be On in the Layers panel.
    2. Select All and drag to the CC Libray panel
    3. Create a new Document
    4. Select the Library item and choose Place Copy (or alt drag to artboard).

Actual Result: A group with the Artwork name is placed. Original Layers lost

Expected Result:: as in CC2017 the layer structure would be kept.
