An error occurred while saving the comment Yeah, creating an artboard sized rectangle is a very common operation indeed.
There is script that does that, named after a removed Release Artboard command in CS4, when multiple artboards were introduced.
Rename the attached file to .jsx instead of .txt and make an action that runs it.An error occurred while saving the comment Ryan, I had a script that does exactly this. If you remember, before CS4 we had only one artboard, and there was a command 'Release Artboard' that converted an artboard into a rectangle. So this is why the script is called like that :) (rename it to .jsx from .txt)
And sure, it should be a default function, both Scale to artboard and Create an Artboard Sized Rectangle.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew, why don’t you use Save a Copy instead of Save As?
Save As saves the current file as a new one and keeps it opened.
Save a Copy... well, it saves a copy, and leaves your original file opened. The issue is knows though, and I believe some steps are made toward making it more streamlined.

An error occurred while saving the comment I still don’t get how do you create swatches.
If you drag (you say you drag) colored objects into Swatches, a pattern swatch is created.. not swatches. And no, making global swatches by default is not what is to be a universally desired method :) I agree there should be an option to toggle this, but please don’t think that everyone wants to create global swatches by default. I personally prefer globals, that’s true :)
The idea about a 'global switch for globals' is a good idea! Perhaps a script can be made to do that until the team makes one...
An error occurred while saving the comment If you press Ctrl+Alt+Shift new while clicking the New Swatch button in the Swatches panel, Ai will create the swatch as a global swatch, with no dialogue asked. Also, if you just click the New button, the 'global' option is set by default — if you set it before, it’s sticky.
Ctrl+Alt will create a spot with no dialogue, and Alt does the same for a regular swatch.
A hotkey, however, if you assign one, calls a dialogue, there is no way to silently create a global swatch with one hotkey only, you have to hit Enter immediately after. How do you create a swatch?

An error occurred while saving the comment Petr, what is your exact version number?
AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Disinterest — yes. Discrimination — hardly. Ignorance — most probably. That’s what UV is for, to highlight rare issues, not only for pushing major problems (because there are not many French who voted). At least I hope this place to be one.
Thank you for adding a vote to NBSP problem, by the way. And thanks for the input. I really wish for both problems to change, all problems reported here. This particular issue is under re-re-review already. An error occurred while saving the comment Ah, OK, this is why this report looked familiar to me.
Thanks again, I am merging these and informing the engineer that is aware of the cause of the problem. And this not about Czech specifically. I have a related problem with hardcoded Color/Gradient/None keys, ,,./ symbols in the bottom row at the right. When I use Russian input, these turn into бю. — and None becomes Gradient for me. Is it discriminative? No, it's not an 'unjustified distinction', it has a certain technical reason, in your case — a bug, caused by extending functionality with F-keys.
Hope both problem get fixed soon.
An error occurred while saving the comment Filip, do you know what Hanlon's razor principle is?
'Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity'.
There is no implied discrimination in what happens with Czech hotkeys, and assuming that this is specifically against Czech users is not true. What keys do you use for Send To Front/Forward? Default ones or custom?
Non-breaking space is just broken, for all users, and there is a specific request to make it work: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-feature-requests/suggestions/35809120-non-breaking-space-nbsp-should-work — please vote there.
Anyway — thanks for reporting it. I have to change the header of the report, to help other users who have same problems to find it. And no, this is not because of discrimination.
An error occurred while saving the comment There was a bug with the 'č' key, fixed in 26.0.1... Have you tried the most recent build? Does it fix the issue for you?

The problem got solved by resaving the original document and no longer can be reproduced.
If you have a similar issue, try to search for a similar bug report which matches yours exactly or log another one, providing as many details as possible to help the team to investigate it.
An error occurred while saving the comment OK, another problem then :(
Can you please send the link to the saved copy you were able to get to sharewithai@adobe.com? How does it differ exactly form the file that you were not able to save?An error occurred while saving the comment You didn’t reply about the locked/hidden layers, Janet :)
The thing is the document with these get saved, but immediately is marked as unsaved, with an asterisk in the document’s tab — that’s why I am asking this.
If this is the case — it’s one issue. If not — another one and need further investigation. An error occurred while saving the comment Janet, does you document by any chance have hidden or locked layers?
If yes — please try to unlock/unhide them and try again.
Please comment back if it helps. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Hey, Jerry, in case this does still matter to you — there is an option in Preferences > General, Display Print Size at 100% zoom. When ticked, it recalculates the resolution of a document to be displayed correctly on your monitor. Please try if it works for you.

This is an area where many teams at Adobe are exploring ways to make it easier for users to discover and use fonts. Stay tuned.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Skilltech, it has been merged with an older request about the same thing, which had more votes. When this happens, the post is converted to a comment and all attachments are also merged.

Meanwhile you can use VectorFirstAid plugin by AstuteGraphics that can do it and even more.
Also, try the free script by Carlos Canto:
