    I’ve confirmed this as well. It seems the bug only occurs in the latest version:

    Up to 29.3.1: not reproducible
    29.4: reproducible

    Possible workarounds:

    (A) Roll back to an earlier version and wait for a fix
    (B) Use Isolate Selected Path mode (available via right-click context menu) to select anchor points

    It’s frustrating not being able to control things like before—hoping for a quick fix!

    29.3.1まで：再現しない
    29.4：再現する

    回避策として以下が挙げられます。
    （A）バージョンを下げて、このバグの解消を待つ
    （B）選択パス編集モード（右クリックしてコンテキストメニューから実行可能）を使って目的のアンカーポイントを選択する

    今まで通りのコントロールが出来ないと困ってしまいますよね。早く解消されますように。

    Please share some real cases for this feature you had in your practice, which could have benefit greatly from having inline graphics. It will help the team to plan it and make it more useful for Ai users, than analogues we have in InDesign and Figma.
