Given option in preferences where you can select which quadrant on the XY axis you wish to have as positive numbers.
As someone who uses InDesign the most coming to illustrator Is always disorienting because even when you move the axis to the upper left-hand corner the quadrant of the XY axis on the artboard coordinates are in the negative digits.

Yes, some people are limited by their employers purchasing policies that for various reasons will not permit the purchase of third-party plug-ins.

Keeping shortcuts consistent between applications is a good idea in theory, but in implementation…
It would probably work best if the users were given the option to choose which app they wanted the shortcuts synchronized across all programs from.
For example a person who mainly uses InDesign would want the InDesign shortcuts applied universally, but someone who uses mostly Photoshop would want all the shortcuts to match Photoshop's shortcuts.

A couple of questions on this:
1. Would it be okay to have a separate spec creation service much like the upcoming Adobe XD service? On this service, anyone with a link, can select any objects, and view its dimensions (W/H), colors, fonts etc. Or should it be inside Illustrator.
2. Are you only going to create horizontal, and vertical dimensions? Or would you also like to have angular dimensions as well?
Please share more details about your workflow.
Thanks,

I agree with Mike and Marty "They have a lot of plugins at Astute that should be standard features" they should be standard features and we should not have to pay extra for them.

I am exited to announce that 'History Panel' is now available in Illustrator Beta. To access it, open the Creative Cloud app and go to "Beta apps" and install "Illustrator (Beta)". You can launch the history panel via the 'Window' menu > 'History'.
We look forward to your feedback on this new feature in Illustrator.

A good mirroring feature has been needed for illustrator for over a decade. Please add it soon.
In Reply to Egor's comment about third-party plug-ins that already perform this function:

Since vector is infinitely scalable what's wrong with working at one half or one quarter scale of the finished piece?
You don't work in print much do you.
Make both options available but let the user select which they want to be the default in illustrator's preferences.
