Hi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 27.6.1.
Hex code for the colors is visible in the Color and Swatch Option Panel. It will be visible for Global Colors as well. You can easily copy the Hex value by clicking on '#' icon before the code.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

Illustrator TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment DPD commentedStill have this problem with the latest AI update. When the error occurs, the directory 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2018\Support Files\Contents\Windows' exists like the error text describes, but this directory cannot even be deleted manually. It has no owner. Taking administrator ownership is not possible. Restarting the PC solves this. After that, installation goes smoothly.
An error occurred while saving the comment DPD commentedAfter trying to install update 23.0.2.567 followed by the error, Illustrator is no longer available on my PC. Was fixed as described by another user: uninstall, reboot, reinstall.
An error occurred while saving the comment DPD commentedSame problem here with update 23.0.2.567. I tried to delete the target directory 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2019\Support Files\Contents\Windows' via Windows Explorer, but access is denied.

So it’s obviously not fixed, and we all know it.
While the cursor gets changes into the horizontal/vertical two-headed arrow, the center handles for the bounding box indeed don’t appear, if the width/height of the art (here just an orthogonal line) is small enough.
Please continue to share you thought, screenshots, GIFs. It’s time to re-review this again.

An error occurred while saving the comment DPD commentedWith the Color Picker, it is possible to enter a hex value for RGB. It would also be nice to have a hex entry field when creating a new swatch. Now, we only have sliders and decimal entry fields.

Hi everyone! Thank you for your feedback so far.
As we make progress, we wanted to hear your thoughts regarding the intended functionality of this solution. We are sharing two scenarios forproposed behavior of this functionality, please review these and let us know your feedback:
Scenario #1: The area calculation will only consider the path geometry of an object and not include the stroke weight as part of the computed area. To calculate the area of the stroke, the object can be Expanded so that a separate compound path is created for the stroke.
Scenario #2: Appearance-altering effects (e.g., Drop Shadows, Gaussian Blurs) that do not modify the underlying path geometry will not influence the area calculation. We will continue to calculate the area of the actual closed path.
We have also attached a visual reference for these scenarios to this post. Please let us know your thoughts!

You can also customise these shortcuts from the keyboard settings

An error occurred while saving the comment DPD commentedBesides the page number (which should be the number of the artboard), the artboard name should also be useful. One should be able to choose either one of these of both. It should also be possible to move the page number or name in one artboard after which these are moved the same way in the other artboards.

We are working towards giving preference to Photoshop for editing linked images, if Ps is installed. This may mean the label showing as ‘Edit on Photoshop’ when an linked image is selected. The change does not affect OS level file type associations.
