That's because the brush in illustrator creates a stroked path. The size is set with the stroke width. You can set the stroke width before you draw a stroked path with the brush.
This is how the brush tool has always functioned in Illustrator.

When you say it's not easy for the printer to process fractional CMYK color data, what do you mean? An office printer, a roll fed proof printer of some kind with its own internal RIP, or are you sending to a standalone RIP like Caldera or Onyx?

Do you mean this dialog window? I'm not sure what you mean by 'new swatch creation panel'.
Overprint is an object level attribute, not an attribute of color.

I can replicate this bug. It behaves a little better when it's set to "Preserve exact dash gap lengths" rather than "Align dashes to corners and path ends...." (see screenshot)
The little "tail" glitch goes away when adjusting corner radii with the corner radius widgets -

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.0.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Export wrong size.ai 155 KB
62 votesThis issue is probably happening because the artboard dimensions are not appropriate for raster export (i.e. are in decimals).
If you make x and y values as the whole numbers in the transform panel (not in decimal), then the extra pixels will not be added to the exported image. That is the workaround, and it’s reported that it’s not always the case.
At the same time — Ai knows the size of artboards to be exported and yet it does not deliver the set sizes, which is not fair. The team is going to rethink the algorithm.

I don't know what the deal is with this document specifically, but freeform gradients work fine w/o crashing, on a new document on my system.
The document you've shared has 235,831 path objects.
235,766 of those are guides (see screenshot)
This document as-is bogs my illustrator down pretty heavily. After clearing all guides I have no issues.
Also have no issues applying a freeform gradient to the lower-right sword handle.
