  1. フォント名表示の幅を調整できるオプションを追加してください

    Illustrator 25.4.3

    １．ドキュメント上にテキストを入力し、フォントを指定するために文字パネルを開きフォント名をドロップダウンする。
    ２．フォントプレビューを非表示にした場合、モリサワフォント等接頭辞の大きなフォント（特にAP-OTFで始まるもの）は不適切な省略表記となりフォント名の特定が困難となる。

    これはフォントの命名にも絡む問題で一概にIllustratorに問題があるとは言い難いものです。ですから、ドロップダウンをプレスした際に表示される幅を可変にして略記表示が問題ある場合にユーザーが表示幅を調整して認識できるようにしていだだけたらと思います。

    添付画像の矢印部分をユーザーが調整してフォント名の表示部分の幅を任意に調節することで略記の部分を変更できるようにしていただけたらフォントを探す際に楽になるかと思います。

  2. Make an option for the Bounding box to hug text tightly

    For the love of God, please make an option for the bounding box around text to only bound to the visible text. When I'm aligning text, either visually or by inputting numbers in the transform panel, I absolutely do not care about invisible space, what I want is what I can see to be centered or aligned. I'm so sick of having a text box snap to a guide or object, or me inputting exact numbers in the transform panel, only for the text to be offset and misaligned. if this option DOES exist, then make it obvious that it's…

  3. Batch apply action to selected items

    It strikes me as absolutely bizarre that you can't apply an action to multiple objects in turn. You can batch apply actions to files. You can apply actions to selected objects. You can apply actions to a selected group of objects I think? But you can't batch apply actions to groups of objects. I have about 300 really short little lines in an infographic that I need to be the same length. They're fairly spread out and any anchor selection based approach would take 2 hours. What an incredible hassle.

  4. Don't display clipped outside paths in Outline View option

    Sometimes we have a large pieces of artwork clipped.
    Sometimes we don’t care what’s inside until we isolate these to edit the clipped art directly.
    Still, when we switch to Outline View, we see all the art that is clipped, clumped, overlapping, messy.
    For these cases it would be nice to have an option to not draw parts that are outside and beyond of clipping paths.
    Corel’s products does it a bit wrong — they don’t draw clipped parts in Outline at all, including parts that are inside. Ai should do it better.

  5. Exporting TIF with transparency

    Unless I've gone completely mad, I could swear there used to be the option to Export a file to TIF with transparency (a checkbox in the export settings). This no longer appears as an option. How does one export a transparent TIF these days??

  6. SVG Paths with marker endings render only the markers, not the paths

    1. Import the attached SVG file into Illustrator.

    expected result: Illustrator should display a line with an arrow at the end.
    actual result: Illustrator displays only the arrow at the end.

    also attached: image of problem behavior.

    removing the marker-end attribute from the path in question will display the line.

  7. Don't remove stroke and fill for clipping paths

    Please allow paths to retain formatting when they are made into clipping paths. I see no reason, other than cruelty, to remove the stroke and fill of a path when it is made into a clipping path. If someone can rationalize a benefit for making me have to apply a stroke and fill all over again then at least make a preference for any masochists.

  8. Gradient “easing” / bezier curve control for color stops

    Any work that utilizes gradients in Illustrator would benefit greatly from the addition of the ability to manually control/adjust the bezier curves of the gradients’ color stops.

    The specifics of how this works are discussed here: https://larsenwork.com/easing-gradients/

    Ultimately, this level of control allows for significantly more pleasing and subtle gradients. Relying on midpoints to adjust gradients ultimately results in very obviously visual “steps” from one color stop to the next.

    I’ve attached a video demonstrating the easing function, as well as a before and after image to illustrate its effect.

  9. Make an option to disable auto-selection of artboards, when clicked inside

    AI now selects artboard whenever mouse is clicked within in (with any tool). While it's a great general behaviour, I'd like to be able to disable it.

    I have to work with overlapping artboards (which, by the way, sometimes prevent AI from correctly selecting the artboard clicked—it depends on artboards' order). When object is copied, AI remembers it's coordinates. Then, when I go to the object I need to place my copied art over and press Ctrl+F, AI pastes the object in the same coordinates.   10. Make symbols work in brushes

    When you save symbol as brush, it stops being symbol.
    This makes impossible live update of the brush, when brush changes as soon as you make changes.

    Making symbols stay symbols in brushes seems to be the easiest way of having such a behavior in AI.

  11. Export artboards from illustrator to a single, multi- artboard photoshop file

    Export an illustrator file (with multiple artboards and layers) to photoshop (as a single, multi- artboard psd file).

    Currently illustrator exports multiple, separate.psd files.
    You then need to copy and paste from individual files into a multi- artboard .psd file.

    If the above idea is integrated, it would make bringing screen layouts into into xd for prototyping UIs much easier.

  12. Release / Cancel Image Trace with Escape

    Let me back out of an Image Trace with ESC. Sometimes it just won't work and I need to back out. If I've tried a thousand different combinations and it still won't trace well then I have to delete the image or sit through all of my undo's and sometimes I run out of undo's. I need to be able to cancel the trace.

    The panel is also missing a dedicated button, and only the menu command does it.

  13. Easier way to set color for drop shadows

    Right now when you need to change Drop Shadow's color, you have to click effect in Appearance palette, then click color and only then choose color.

    But when you have a LOT of shadows — you are screwed (because Drop Shadows can't use global swatches: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/34789156-drop-shadow-can-t-use-global-color-swatches).

    You have to click EACH shadow and change it.
    Not effective.

    Why not to make shadow's color appear in Appearance the same way as fill does?

    It will also allow to change color of multiple shadows for one object at once (yeah, I have to layer shadows, because AI doesn't allow to tweak…

  15. Copy/paste color values as text

    I often need to list color values in RGB, CMYK, hex, etc for brand guidelines and printing. It would be helpful if there was an easy way to copy all color values as text. Right now you can only select one value at a time which is very tedious. I know there are scripts that exist to do something similar but it would be nice if it was a built-in feature!

  16. Make option to generate compound paths instead of groups when text is outlined

    Create simple black-on-white string of text.
    Outline it.
    AI will make a group of compound paths.

    I would like to have a non-default option that would make AI generate one big compound path instead of group of paths.
    If text has more then one character color within it — only then this option would produce a group, with a colored compounds within.

    Right now I have to use an Action (ungroup, release compound path, make compound path) and manually run it for every string/area of text before proceeding to next step of my workflow.

  17. PLEASE an option to increase the thumbnail size in symbols libraries

    Please, any option to increase thumbnail size when viewing symbols libraries , even if it's only limited a 2x more magnified than currently available as the large list view.
    This is a necessary accommodation for the visually impaired, and will also drastically increase ease of use for the average Adobe customer

  18. Make ability to create Dead (not Live) shapes

    I don't always need LIVE shapes. They have different controls, different treat of Control panel, they bite off Transform palette. Sometimes I just need rectangular path, as it was before, not Rectangle. Now I have to use Plain rectangle plugin on common basis, rebound to M hotkey.
    I would like to use them if not a bug with Ctrl+Enter in Width/Height fields, while proportion constraint is off (Live shapes don't constraint it with Ctrl+Enter, as everybody else do, — I'm surprised I haven't reported it yet.)

  19. Add Preview tick to 'Free distort' effect dialogue window

    Using 'Free distort' is very inconvenient, because it works in small dialogue window that doesn't show actual artwork.
    'Preview' tick could solve this problem (although I'd rather prefer 4 interactive points.)
    AT LEAST! It should be live long ago, without separate dialogue!
