Rasterize effect of bitmap is too simple
Please add some other algorithm in rasterize effect of bitmap.
in Photoshop we have pattern dither, Diffusion dither, halftone screen, custom pattern Or in Corel Photo Paint we have line art, Ordered , Jarvis, Stuki , floyd-steinberg, halfton, cardinality distribution But in illustrater we have only one algorithm.
also please able us to choose color of rastered pixels. it is very important because some times graphists add this effect to gradient or mesh gradient but they like another color instead of black color and transparent instead of white276 votes -
Reveal in Finder (for MacOS) / Explorer (for Windows) option for document tabs, like in Photoshop, Acrobat
On Macs, "Reveal in Finder" Option currently reveals in Finder you "Command + click" the file name at top of window — however this option is not available when window is tied to the application frame.
Completely missing in Illustrator for Windows (even though exists in Photoshop and Acrobat).

An option to ignore strokes when using Fit to Artwork Bounds or Fit to Selected Art commands
Illustrator now always fits the current artboard respecting strokes and raster effects, as if the 'Use Preview Bounds' option is on.
However, disabling this option does not change the behaviour 'Fit to Artwork Bounds' or 'Fit to Selected Art' commands — strokes and shadows are still considered to be the bounds to fit.
This is not what a user wants in many cases, and geometric bounds are preferred instead.
We need Illustrator to either respect 'Use Preview Bounds' option — as Symbols do — or have another set of option for fitting command, to separately control strokes and effects.20 votes -
PLEASE an option to increase the thumbnail size in symbols libraries
Please, any option to increase thumbnail size when viewing symbols libraries , even if it's only limited a 2x more magnified than currently available as the large list view.
This is a necessary accommodation for the visually impaired, and will also drastically increase ease of use for the average Adobe customer24 votes -
Color Theme tool like in InDesign
Would love to see this implemented in Illustrator as I, like many others, like to import JPEGS or screen grabbed colour samples to take colors from it manually. It would be awesome to have a colour theme generated from those images that could work within Illustrator and then used across the adobe library. Also this might be something that could also allow you to select an artboard of choice and generate the top 5 colors of that illustration.

Changing an object not updating it in Asset Export
In this video Export assets for web and app design | it's all like perfect — after changing object color — it's will be updated too in asset export, yes...
But in real life I want not just change a color, I want to made much more changes, just by adding new polygons path, and so — it will not update asset at export. Provide an option for making artboard names / numbers visible on the artboard (like when editing artboards)
Provide an option in Adobe Illustrator to show artboard names and/or numbers on the artboard / on top of the artboard (like when editing artboards). This visible naming would greatly help to keep artboards organized in large, multiple artboard files. This would be so helpful!
58 votesThis functionality has been released with v30.0. You can also double-click the name and rename the artboard directly on canvas.
You can disable this in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, with Show Artboard name on canvas option.

Automated/AI-powered file names in Asset Export
Asset Export needs more options to automate and/or use variables. Designers often need to export large groups of files (e.g. variations of a logo in multiple colours and sizes, with/without a claim or other element) which then have to be tediously and manually renamed and sorted to reflect things like size, color.
It would be great if there were more option to automate the output by adding variables such as dimensions custom text fields, names of swatches used, etc This could even be an area where the use of AI might be useful to automatically detect the content…2 votes -
Make live hint with color values for the Eyedropper tool
Right now clicking with Eyedropper results in a blind result: until it's clicked, there is no way to predict what will be picked exactly. Why not to show properties to be picked in floating thingy next to the cursor? PS does it great in separate panel, why AI can't steal that?

Option to Have Golden Ratio & Rule of Thirds Grid (like PS)
For a canvas, if there is an option to get a Grid for 'Rule of Thirds' or Golden Ration.
This will make a lot easier for the designer and will be more effective in Illustrator as compared to PS (where this option is available) where vector designs are being created.

Add 'Align to Bleed' Option
Have an Align to Bleed option, anything going to print generally has a 3mm bleed and it would be handy to bet things to align to this instead of the edge of the artboard.

Please make New Swatch available all the time
Sometimes, I have a complex selection of unpainted paths, and then I need to create a color swatch to apply. But unfortunately 'New Swatch' is greyed out. Why? Why isn't it always available?

Drop color
Definitely miss adobe draw.
I’d love to see it be easy to drop in colors and for there to be brushes like in adobe draw.
Also the brush/ pencil seem really glitchy and not like a natural gesture1 vote -
Don't display clipped outside paths in Outline View option
Sometimes we have a large pieces of artwork clipped.
Sometimes we don’t care what’s inside until we isolate these to edit the clipped art directly.
Still, when we switch to Outline View, we see all the art that is clipped, clumped, overlapping, messy.
For these cases it would be nice to have an option to not draw parts that are outside and beyond of clipping paths.
Corel’s products does it a bit wrong — they don’t draw clipped parts in Outline at all, including parts that are inside. Ai should do it better.25 votes -
Accurate Color-Managed Print Preview in Illustrator (and Adobe Apps)
I’ve had this feature in mind for years, but a busy schedule and work across different fields kept me from writing it down. This request is for Photoshop, and if Illustrator and InDesign are missing it as well, they should be updated to support it. In Photoshop’s Print dialog, under Color Management, the preview should match the selected printer, color handling settings, and printer profile. It should show an accurate on-screen preview of how the document or design will actually look once printed. The software should offer the closest possible simulation instead of the rough preview we have today.

Simulate color blindness for accessibility
It would be nice to be able to quickly check my work for accessibility. A button group/panel that lets me switch between protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia, and monochromacy would be really useful. Arguably, a monochromatic view is useful outside of accessibility, allowing one to check the tonal or value relationships in a design. This feature is not only applicable in Illustrator but across many of your products.

Add a 'Select More' menu option
When working with a very busy file, it's often much easier to select an anchor or line segment than an object.
My idea is to have a menu option that selects the object or objects which currently have anchors or line segments selected.
A user could select an object by first selecting one of its anchors, and then using this menu option.
If the user hits this feature multiple times, it could continue to 'select more' by, for example, selecting all siblings within the current group, and then the group itself, and then the group's siblings etc.
