1. There are a number of issues with Adobe Libraries - Recovery, Archive, Search

   Library backups/Recovery - I have just had an issue of losing a library of over 200+ logos. Whether this was because of a glitch or human error isn’t clear. One thing that is clear is that there is currently no way of recovering libraries.

   Archive old libraries - Also we have old libraries which we spent time creating for all of our clients. Half of these clients are no longer working with us, we need to keep their folders incase they re engage with us however they are cluttering up the menu.

   Search function - The search function seems useless. All of our files and folders are correctly named and yet they don’t show up in library searches.

2. Jointures Multiples/Multiple Joins

   Je souhaiterai pouvoir sélectionner de multiples points avec l'outil sélection directe et que la commande joindre (Commande -J) fasse la jointure pour tous les couples de points ayant même abscisse et même ordonnée.
   Ce qui motive ma demande est que je récupère des fichiers générés par des sites web où chaque segment est isolé. C'est problématique soit pour ajouter un fond, soit pour avoir une découpe plus rapide et plus propre sur ma découpe laser. Avec des segments courts, le matériau n'a pas le temps de refroidir entre deux passes et fini par se consumer. Avec des tracés longs, la découpe reste propre malgré les passes multiples.

   What drives my request is that I recover files generated by websites where each segment is isolated. This is problematic either to add a background, or to have a faster and cleaner cutting on my laser cutting. With short segments, the material does not have time to cool between two passes and will eventually burn out. With long tracks, the cut remains clean despite multiple passes.

3. Document Recovery Panel

   Crash Recovery or document recovery is a life saver during unexpected crashes or Force quits of Illustrator sessions. However it becomes a nightmare, when it forces to recover documents from an old session and take ages to recover those document.

   A simple panel similar to MS Office will be really helpful for me to make a choice of what i want to recover and what to throw away before working..

   Its not always I need to use the old opened documents which I was not editing/ creating but just viewing as reference.

   Also its not always I want to waste time opening huge files all at once in form of recovery from some one others failed session before.

   A non-blocking experience to choose what I need is must needed is this modern era. Specially when other applications in this world have already solved this problem.

4. Please provide an option to not create compound paths with Pathfinder's crop/clipping function.

   When objects completely overlap, recent versions of Illustrator now use compound paths. While this method is indeed superior in that it allows for non-destructive re-editing, I preferred the previous irreversible clipping even when objects completely overlapped. If you can't revert it back, could you at least add an irreversible option?

5. Allow more than 100 artboards

   Artboard limits should be a "soft cap" of 100 or more dependent on the user's PC specs. The user should then be able to, at their own risk of performance, increase the cap of artboards to whatever number they feel is necessary, whether or not that is unlimited is up to the user. There was a suggestion to remove this cap over 5 years ago, I believe it is time to make the change.
   I need currently 120 and it's really AWKWARD to create a new file and put resources there. I 100% need all my images in one file with multiple artboards!

6. .obj asset file multiple group/layer hierarchy

   It’s very cool that you can export 3d models as obj - when I try to import the obj file Into blender, the group objects become scattered and lose there positioning that I have created - please make it so that when I import the file all of the objects are together / grouped as I intended and not scattered - great job on the new update 👍🏻

7. 1x folder

   Right now, even when I'm not exporting any of my artboards as retina, Illustrator INSISTS upon exporting all PNG files inside a new folder called "1x." This is annoying, stupid, and unhelpful. It makes it hard to find when I go looking for the exports, I'm looking for descriptively named .png files, not a completely innocuous folder named "1x" for no reason.

   Please stop ******* with exports. Just make it work like it did last version. This is not an improvement.

8. Make it possible to actually open Cloud Docs....

   The idea of cloud docs is wonderful, but the reality is intensely frustrating.

   File created in the studio; a simple text logo. Retun home need to make a change. Impossible to open.

   "Make file available offline" Done. Still impossible to open.

   Identical version of Illustrator on both Macs. Multiple occurrences. It has happened in reverse too

   Workaround > Store files on a disk. Transfer manually. (Not what Adobe want to hear!)

   I should add that this a a regular problem on PS too, so a broader Creative Cloud, issue. Oh and the internet connection is Gigabit, so not a speed issue.

9. Export multiple Illustrator layers into Photoshop's PATH Palette, as multiple PATH layers, in one command

   Instead of the current and ONLY way to bring a path from Illustrator to Photoshop (copy the layer in IL and paste it in PS, one by tedious one), how about an EXPORT IL LAYERS to PATHS PALETTE IN PS option in the dropdown? Or, if you can't do that, how about adding an option to save an IL file with a 'new' file extension (.pal?) which would open in PS with ALL the Illustrator layers intact, separate and distinct, AND STILL ALIGNED WITH EACH OTHER, in the Photoshop Paths Palette?

10. Appending number after SVG export

    After exporting SVG files there is a version number added to the file name... can you make this optional... It adds a bunch of unnecessary steps to my work flow as I have to then navigate to the file and rename it every time I export...

11. Link artboard from a file in a CC Library.

    There should be a way to link an artboard from a file in a CC Library as you can do when linking from a local file.

12. Procedural textures for fills, like crosshatch, stripes, etc.

    It would be nice if there was a procedural texture fill available. Something like CorelDRAW has, but completely procedural so that file size doesn't bloat. The more parameters the better so we could create many varying textures/colors/patterns/etc.

13. New document without symbols, brushes, graphic styles

    New documents are pre-filled with unwanted symbols, brushes and graphic styles that bloat the documents. I always have to go in and delete these to keep file size down, especially when saving as EPS for logos, etc.

14. Apply Template to file

    I would like the ability to "apply template" to a graphic file so that styles with the same name from one template would update to a graphic with styles that have been updated to different parameters.
    Example:
    I work on proposals and the font/character/graphic styles vary from project to project based on RFP requirements for submission (each State has different requirements you must adhere to). We have many "boilerplate" graphics that are reused, but the fonts and, sometimes, the colors must be changed to meet requirements.
    I have a master template for graphics and update the styles based on the requirements for each proposal project. The style names stay the same but the attributes change.
    It would be AWESOME if I could open a graphic file from a project we did 6 months ago, click "Apply Template Styles" and have the character/font/graphic styles automatically update to the master template for the new project.

    I've tried using "Load Character Styles" and "Load All Styles", but this is only adding styles not already included in the list; it is not updating like-named styles.
    I someone has a better way of wording this, I'd appreciate and welcome some clarification!

15. Generate Proper Filenames and Layer Names Instead of Untitled-1 and Layer-1

    We need Generate Name button for saving a file depending on its content, format and target project folder. Also layers could be named properly.

    Also it seems obvious that, besides generating a new name, the system could also use information from the document's presets, such as the document type (e.g., web, phone, book, etc.), document size (e.g., A4, 291x210mm, 1920x1080px, etc.), and colour and bit depth (e.g., CMYK, RGB, LAB, 8-bit, 16-bit, etc.).

16. Have Untitled Illustrator document be reset to number 1

    Dear Sir or Madam:

    I don't like the way Adobe Illustrator keeps incrementing an Untitled document numbering each time you create a new file. I would rather have Adobe Illustrator Untitled document be set to Untitled-1 document each time I create a new Adobe Illustrator file. Please consider this feature. 17. Speed up Redraw with All Thumbnail Options on One Button

    Switching off thumbnails for improved draw speed means switching various options and locations to get the layer, object and transparency thumbs all switched off. Working many customer files per day this is a drag.

    Please put them all on one "thumbs" radio button with options for all-on, all-off, or custom preference, so I can get my work done faster.

    Make this an application preference rather than document preference to save me even more time.

18. "Select Same Fill/Opacity/Appearance/etc" in Freeform Gradients

    I work in printing, we just got 15 files in using freeform gradients where the majority of the gradient is 80% opacity and the edges of the shapes are 10% opacity. After printing samples, the customer has decided to change the 80% to 100%. Normally, this is very quickly executed with solid colors and within gradient meshes by selecting one object or point and choosing "select same opacity" from the menu. But this feature is not available in the freeform gradients. I now have the task of individually changing the opacity on over 1500 points across all of the files. With how popular the freeform gradients are becoming, I expect this issue may arise more often as many artists will need to perform minor tweaks which should take literally seconds, but will turn into multiple hours of tedious work. Not to mention that the opacities are similar enough that it leaves a large margin of error if any of the color points are missed. because of human error. Please let the computer do the dirty work!

    Please bring back FXG.
    SVG is no solution for coworking with complex files in Flash and Illustrator.
    Since years i've installed old cs6 version of Flash and Illustrator only for the FXG export / import.

20. Create new documents with a 'Plus' button or a double-click in the document tabs area

    Document Tabs is a well-known paradigm, thanks to browsers.
    Since many of us spend a lot of time with browsers, we expect the same functionality form tabs’ headers in Illustrator.

    One of them is a middle-click to close a tab (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/38150188-add-middle-click-to-close-document), another is remember opened tabs on relaunch (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/44819065-launch-illustrator-with-the-same-opened-documents).
    There are others.

    But the most prominent one is the Plus button to the right (in LTR world) of the last tab, which creates a new document.

    Sure, one can hit Cmd/Ctrl+Alt+N, or go File > New, but sometimes we are lazy, and the other hand is used to hold the head or a cup of tea.
    Accessibility and consistency are great.

    BTW, Corel Draw already has it.

    And if you want to make a step further — do the same with a double-click in that area as well. It’s like a super long button (when you have little tabs opened).
