1. Add an option to open the folder with exported images that stays for some time on scree

   I think it would be great if we could see a "View on Computer" or "Go to Folder" option on the screen, floating in the middle of nearly 5-7 seconds. So if we have to use it immediately we can go there with no effort... I'm writing it for Asset Export but I think this feature should be it for any save and export option on every Adobe software.

2. Make Revert operation into a History step we can undo

   Shielding Revert this with a confirmation does NOT work.
   Having confirmations is a bad UX solution, and it’s known now — it seems like only Adobe is not aware.
   People don’t read these, and either learn to not notice these or to skip these.

   What apps should do instead is to allow a mistake, but then giving a chance to Undo it.
   Like modern email clients now do — you can undo sending an email, because there is a hidden delay.

   Photoshop does NOT have a confirmation, but it allows us to UNDO the Revert, unlike other apps.

3. Clip to key object

   Illustrator allows to set a key object in a selection with a click. The object gets thick edge and can be used for aligning and distributing operation, to stay in place.

   This simple way of marking an object is used only for these, and it’s a waste.
   We need to be able to use key objects for other operations as well.

   For example, why not allow users to clip into the key object, if it’s set? Currently we would have to move it above other objects in a selection, reselect them together, and hope we didn’t mess it up... or cut the objects we need to clip, select the one to be a mask, toggle Draw Inside mode, Paste in Place (works if we need to save the appearance of the clipping path).

   Why just not
   1. Select objects
   2. Click one to make it a key
   3. Run Object > Clipping Mask > Make command (Cmd/Ctrl+7)?
   Zero extra steps. No problems with 'should it be at top or bottom'.

4. 【寸法ツール】オプション設定内への要望

   Illustratorで簡易図面を描く事が多い為、Beta版で追加された「寸法ツール」はとても便利な機能となるはずなのですが、現状では重要な機能が足りておらず図面という用途では使用できません。

   【要望1】「先端位置」の選択が寸法ツールオプション内で出来るようにして下さい。

   現状では矢印のスタイルで「●（矢印21）」などを使用した際に、寸法補助線に対して線の芯に「●」の中心が配置されず、2本の寸法補助線の内側に収まる形で表示されてしまいます。

   【要望2】単位選択時に、「単位自体は表示させない」というチェック項目を付けてください。

   通常長さの寸法を入れる図面では、1つ1つの寸法線に単位は記載しません。数字だけを記載します。
   単位（㎜を使用するのかcmを使用するのかpxを使用するのか等）はアートボード全体で統一する為、1つ1つの寸法線に記載せず、1つのアートボードに対して「寸法の単位は㎜です」等を1カ所に記載する場合の方が多いです。
   ※ただし、直径（φ）・半径（R）・角度（°）の記号に関しては常時表示が必要です。

   【要望3】寸法線に対する数字の位置改善を希望します。

   寸法線の数字は縦線に対して線の左横、横線に対して線の上に配置されるのが望ましいです。改善、または選択可能にしてください。

   以上3点の機能改善を期待しています。

   As per the comment inside, an ability to hide units for dimension objects is introduced in AI Beta build 28.3.0.47.

   No more news so far on other parts of the request.

5. Ferramenta parametrica para a manipulação de vetories com nodes não destrutiva

   Acho que o illustrator deveria ter ferramentas de manipulação de vetories e objetos mais profunda. Utilizo softwares como autodesk maia, autodesk 3ds max, blender e houdini no pontualmente em minhas criações e eles tem uma abordagem muito interessante de manipulação 3d de vetores bem complexa.

   Além de que, o Illustrator é uma ferramenta muito utilizada por profissionais de branding para criações de logo, ou seja, exige que a forma criada seja o mais unica possível. Uma ferramenta paramentrica, por exemplo, que fizesse modificações como transformações em um objeto através de nodes complexos seria muito interessante.

6. Allow dimensions to be editable

   It would be nice if the dimensions and lines were editable.
   I generally build to scale because the dimensions of my projects to size are too big for the artboards and contain several larger elements. Having to enlarge each piece in order to get the proper measurements is time consuming and inconvenient. Being able to edit those would make things much easier. I have a script that can do it, but the tool would be better.

   Latest builds of Illustrator allow to edit most of created dimensions using Properties and Control panels.

   The tool dialog sets options for new dimensions only and does not have a button to apply the set options to selected or all dimensions on canvas. If you wish to have a button like this in the dialog, please upvote this request.

   If you have other weak points to point out — please comment or make a new request / report.

7. Allow to name new artboard copies by incrementing numbers in their names

   I often have to make documents with many artboards. And every time when I copy it, Illustrator add " copy" to name.

   Common, I name it like "name 01".
   I want to in this case the copy of this artboard named "name 02" ...

8. Make objects in Objects on Path to reposition relative to one set as a key object

   Align and Distribute operations in Illustrator support picking a key object, by clicking on of the objects in a selection, so it get a thicker edge. This object stays in place, while every other in a selection aligns or distributes relative to it.

   Sadly, this 'key object' paradigm is largely unloved in other areas, but it's also neglect in new Objects on Paths construct.
   While it does not support setting a target path with it (requested here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48988013), it also does not allow to 'fix' one object on path as adjust gaps relative to this fixated object.

   What we have now is an ability to hold Opt/Alt, to scale gaps relative to the center of the array... but with key object support it would be even cooler!

9. An option to Remove Share Button completely

10. Zoom on text in panels and dialogs, for better accessibility

    Give us the ability to zoom in on text in all panels and dialogs. People have dyslexia, meres-irhlen syndrome and even just bad eyesight. Nobody wants to have their face two inches away from their screen just so they can see what they’re reading. This would have the added benefit of making presentations in a classroom setting more easy and thus, would make more people interested in subscribing to the software.

    I personally get my use of the Adobe suite through my university, however there are certainly hundreds of thousands of people who pay to use the software and this inaccessibility is unacceptable for those people.

    As we know, Adobe market themselves as the premier in editing software - the best of the best. This is simply untrue. Illustrator is such a difficult program to access and this leads to more people being unable to use it.

11. Envelope Mesh needs corner points option

    Envelope Mesh needs to have points that can be converted to corner points. It only has Bézier curve points which make it impossible to get perfect straight angles. Like the pen tool has. I have struggled with this for years.

12. Offer more control for managing Profile Mismatching per image

    Profile mismatch alerts are given per each linked image, and the choices offered don’t allow to control this efficient enough.

    Please give us these things:

    1 - Ability to hide alerts in bulk
    It would be helpful if, like with other features, there could be a checkbox option for “Apply this action to all future alerts” to handle this.

    2 - Clear indication of which image the alert is referring to
    There may be cases where you’d want to fix a linked image with an irregular color setting, so the following detailed options might be useful:
    — A “Details” button displayed in the alert dialog
    — Clicking “Details” would show a list of linked files with different color settings
    — The ability to convert the color settings of the selected or all linked files to the color settings of the current file
    — Since linked images are often reused within the same project, this feature would be convenient as it would prevent errors when the linked images are used in other files as well.

13. Support all pie functions Ellipse offers for other live shapes

    There a few things circular pies need in Ai:

14. Find circle from a given arc

    A tool that, when clicking on a previously created arc, would calculate and give the circle whose circumference that arc is part of; this would enable easier amendments, recreation etc. Can sometimes be done by trial and error, but not always accurately, particularly with 'shallow' arcs for which the circle can be surprising large - difficult to know buy just increasing size, moving centre, repeating etc.

16. Angular Smart Guides for everything, similar to those Snap to Glyph has

    There is a lesser known Snap to Glyph command in context menu, which allow you to snap to any live glyph under cursor. It requires Smart Guides and Snap tp Glyph commands enabled (and Snap to Grid disabled).

    Once you enter the mode, the chosen glyph is highlighted with a rectangle, and you are able to construct new art relative to points of this live glyph, as if it was outlined.
    These guides are green, similar to normal Glyph Guides, but some guides are unique to this mode, like the 'angular' one — which allows us to build on a continuation of an existing straight line — similar to what 'Line Extension' smart guide does (when not broken).

    This guide is missing in a non-glyph world, and it’s rather cool, and we’d benefit from having it for everything else, for all other tools: Pen, Selection, Scale... Please make it happen and add it as a n option in Preferences > Smart Guides.

17. Always call guides as 'guides'

    Open Layers and Control panels.

    Enable rulers and drag a guide from one.
    Take a look at how the selected guide is called:
    — <Guide> in Layers
    — Path in Control

    Now create a rectangle and a line, and also draw a path with the Pencil.
    Convert all three to guides with View > Guides > Make Guides (Cmd/Ctrl + 5).
    Compare the names:
    — <Rectangle> and <Line> but <Guide> in Layers
    — Rectangle and Line but Path in Control

    Sure, these first two are technically live shapes (and have dedicated controls in Control)... but also are guides. Why Ai is inconsistent with it? Why aren’t some guides thus named as 'guides'?

    I can’t say a guide dragged from the ruler is NOT a path, it is, and it has its length limited to the canvas, and can be dragged sideways or converted into a simple path, or a live line (that’s why this request about making guides to behave more like in InDesign exists: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/37211029).

    But again, why are these called guides (while being paths), but manually converted paths change their names in Layers only when aren’t live shapes?

18. Add Fresco Vector Brush technology into Illustrator

    Not sure why this still hasn't happened yet, but the vector brush in Fresco is superior to any of the vector brushes Illustrator currently provides for traditional style drawing/inking. Be great to have it for desktop vector drawing. Especially if there aren't' any intentions of bringing Fresco into OSX...

19. Add "Embed Images" to Menu/Actions

    Working with multiple print files requires manual embedding of each linked image, which is time-consuming. Please add "Embed Images" to either:

    • The Actions panel for batch processing, or
    • The menu system to allow keyboard shortcut assignment

    This would significantly improve workflow efficiency in print production environments.
