  1. Mac Illustrator CC. Shift click not moving gradient mesh point along path.

I'm making sure to hold shift before left clicking my mouse on the appropriate gradient mesh point as I've always done to move the point along a path. However it moves the whole path rather than just the point like I haven't hit shift at all.

  2. Selection stroke non aligned with shape.

After last update, the stroke of selected objects seems shifted compared to shape outline about 1 pixel, while anchor point is centered.
When zoomed it's not well visible, but with small objects it's very annoying.

  4. A Bug using Pathfinder Trim with Gradients

    Version: Any

Steps taken: Make a file with a gradient fill on top of an object with a solid fill. Apply pathfinder trim.

Expected result: Object underneath gradient object is removed while gradient object stays as one solid object.

Actual result: Gradient object is cut and solid object remains underneath.

    Video: https://youtu.be/6_kRG7MHCt4

Further comments: When using pathfinder in Illustrator to trim objects that contain a gradient the objects underneath do not get removed as they should and instead appear to be divided. This seems to be an issue with how Illustrator makes gradient as if overprint fill was applied to…

  5. Repeat scale

    1. Scale an object NON UNIFORMLY using Scale tool.
    2. Select new object.
    3. Option-click to choose point of scaling and bring up dialog box.
    4. The previous NON-UNIFORM scale percentages are displayed, but UNIFORM is highlighted. Clicking the radio button next to NON-UNIFORM simply applies the UNIFORM value to the NON-UNIFORM values.

  8. Corners dialogue box deselects points when adjusting radius

When selecting multiple points in a shape and double clicking on a corner widget to bring up the Corners dialogue box, changing the corner type and rounding affects changes all the selected points. However, changing the radius effectively deselects the other points causing only the point associated with the widget that I double-clicked on to be affected.

  9. Snap to Point causes jumping with long Guides

I'm using very long guides to create a custom angled grid, and use Snap to Point to snap paths to intersections of those guides. However, sometimes the Snap to Point causes "jumping", i.e. it tries to snap to the intersection, but when it does, it scrolls the document a tad upwards, and hence goes immediately out of snap. Sometimes it even causes jumps of hundreds of millimeters. It doesn't always happens, but only with some guides intersecting in some points. I cannot really say what actually makes it happen.

I created a test file to where I isolated only three…

  10. Rotate via Transform Each incorrectly places reference point.

    1. Version: AI-CC 22.0.0
    2. Steps taken:
Objects: Triangles with 1:1 height:width ratios. Stroked with stroke centered on vector and sharp corners.
Operation: Rotation via Transform Each command with a centered reference point.

    3. Expected result:
Since the vector was contained within a square bounding box (1:1 H:W), I expected the triangles to rotate without changing XY location.

    4. Actual result:
Rotations happened off-center, slightly moving the triangle toward the point that did not align with one of the bounding-box corners.

    Additional Testing:
I tested the behavior of both the Rotate tool and the Rotate command with a centered reference point and they performed…

  11. CC 2018 line Mode

Not really sure (Im new to this program) How to describe this, But I'm sure it's not the norm.

Graph work on logo in line mode zoomed in.

I would also love to see a way to select multiple paths after creating them in the layers panel. One by one is tedious.

  12. With "Snap to Point" on, the cursor doesn't change colour to indicate a snap to anchor will occur

I just switched to AI 2017 from AI 2015 and i'm noticing this straight away. In preview mode and artwork modes. Turning on Smart Guides helps in some situations but in other cases it fails to identify a Snap when an anchor is around. Snap to Point should work independently of Smart Guides anyhow.

    Massively annoying.

  13. Pen Tool - Arrowhead

No objects selected, Pen Tool equipped.
Stroke settings: 2 pt, arrowhead #5 selected for end condition

Bug: Place first point and the arrowhead on the end condition reverts to blank (no arrowhead)

Workaround: Resellecting the arrowhead after placing the first point returns the line's behavior to what is expected: arrowhead trailing on the last point drawn.

    Version 22.0.0
    Windows 7, 64 bit
    2 x Intel Xenon E5-2623 v3 (dual chip), 32GB RAM

  16. Bounding box does not rotate correctly with certain elements

If you take two lines and make an X shape and group it, when rotating this shape (say 30%), the bounding box resets to straight up and down (as opposed to rotating with the X shape) so any further scaling of this shape will be off. In this case, the X will become asymmetrical with any further scaling. This is a new bug as previously versions of Illustrator kept the bounding box oriented as it was originally.

This is on a Mac with the latest Illustrator CC.

  17. grabbing tiny things

BUG!!!!! not a new idea quit trying to shirk responsibility by calling flaws "new ideas!" It feels like im dealing with a con man or something

you cannot grab menus and move them because you made no place to grab so you have to close it just to move !

the 4 bezier curve tools use to be easy to to expand to a tear off then you made it a little harder because you had to grab the top of the bar, then you made it harder by putting the tiny little grabber bar an inch away and even…
