  1. Exported files omit names of artboards

    When I selected the page range, the exporting file didn't have the artboard name. I am using the latest version on mac m1 max with the latest system. After reinstalling the older version, the problem has gone.

  2. illustrator 2022 will not place emf files due to unknown error

  3. SVGs exported with 0 decimals have incorrect viewBox dimensions

    When exporting the attached artwork as an SVG, the viewBox dimensions differ depending on whether or not the decimal precision is greater than 0:

    Precision 0: <svg viewBox="0 0 76 23">
    Precision 1: <svg viewBox="0 0 760 230">

    The contents of the artboard retain their original size; it's only the SVG's viewport that appears to be affected.

  7. Clipping Mask broken in SVG export if name contains hyphen

    An Illustrator document that contains a clipping mask will not export correctly if the path used for clipping has a - in the name.

    In the resulting SVG code, the path definition looks like this:

    <rect id="clipping-path" ... >

    but the reference to it looks like this:

    <use xlink:href="#clipping_x002D_path" ... >

    You can see that the - was converted to "x002D" for the "use" tag, but not for the "rect" tag.

  8. Date Modified has been replaced by Date Created in 'Open' window in Illustrator, but remains in Finder

    The title pretty much says it. I'm on OS Monterey 12.4. We have already tried with Ai 26.3.1, 25.0 and, 24.0 version with the help of an Adobe agent over a remote session but issue remains same. In the Finder, when I open a window, I can list the files ordered by Date Modified, but within Illy, it's ONLY Date Created. There is no way to get it to show Modified. I got a new (to me) system about a month or so, and installed the newest version of Illy, and that's when this started. My old versions showed Date…

  9. Crashes break CC linked assets in Recovered file.

    When Illustrator 26.2.1 on Win10 Pro 21H2 crashes, CC-linked files are always broken in the recovered file. Please allow recovery files to remember the CC assets we so carefully curate and use daily - otherwise, we need to always embed external drawings (which sucks). Thanks!

  10. Package dialog resets folder name when a new destination is chosen

    If you enter a custom folder name in the Package dialog, then change the location to export to, the folder name resets to match the file and does not retain the custom folder name.

    Expected behaviour is for the custom folder name to persist when changing the export location.

  11. Fonts fail to outline when exporting DXF file

    Windows 11, Illustrator 26.3.1
    I'm Exporting DXF files to a laser cutter. The outline font option in the export dialogue appears to be ineffective. Fonts aren't outlined and the font element doesn't appear in the exported file. All other elements are present. Outlining prior to export until I can downgrade to a previous version.
    Recent PC death forced me to upgrade from Illustrator 2015 (I think) which had no issue with outlining fonts.

  12. Unable to open/paste/place images from AfterEffects generated PNG sequence.

    I'm getting error when I'm trying to open/place/paste image form After Effects (22.4.0 build 54) genereted PNG sequence. Png can be any size (tested with 1080x1920 & 640x640). Images had no transparency (solid white bg).
    Error says "Requested transformation would make some objects too large". When I press OK, png image opens in another tab with dimensions of 16383x 16383px for 640x640px picture. I can open same image in Photoshop without a problem. The DPI of the image generated by AfterEffects is 72dpi.
    Illustrator version 26.3.1.
    After Effects 22.4.0 build 54
    MacOS 12.2.1

  15. Exporting to SVG returns different code after Illustrator updates

    I use Illustrator files as source documents for complex system maps that we export to SVGs for applications. With the most recent updates, the exports have significantly changed the output code for the SVG which is impacting the javascript interactions with those svgs. The first and most substantial issue is that in calculating the viewbox attribute parameters, Illustrator is NOW including hidden layers where it once ignored them. I use a background layer which mimics our system's background colors to more closely reflect the contrasts needed and hide that for export. But where once the svg tag exported as

  17. Asset Export

    Illustrator 2022 - When using the asset export window with one of the file types being set to SVG, the resulting SVG MAC OS finder previews show up as empty artboards. If you open them in illustrator the art is there, but way off on the canvas and I have to manually select all then align them to the center of the artboard. Very annoying. This never happened with Illustrator 2020.

  18. Cannot place or link native AI file into document if PDF compatibility is off...

    AI files cannot be placed into other AI files if PDF compatibility is off for the linked files. PDF compatibility completely negates the benefit of linked files storage savings since a complete duplicate of all artwork (included linked assets) gets embedded with the AI file - this is inefficient (at an extreme level) Illustrator should be able to place native AI files without relying on PDF and we should be able to benefit from the storage savings of linked assets.

  19. SVGs are missing elements when opening with Illustrator (and PhotoShop too)

    For the last several weeks I've discovered that opening SVGs with Illustrator (and PhotoShop in fact) results in a significant portion of the artwork being missing. I've opened over 100 SVGs from multiple sources and every single one is missing elements when opened in Illustrator. When opened in Inkscape or Google Chrome the SVGs are fine. See attachments for an example SVG file from the web.

    My work is almost solely in SVG for compatibility with other devices (laser cutter, etc), and not being able to successfully open ANY SVG is incredibly disruptive. I can export from Inkscape as EPS…

  20. Bug: Export to SVG messing up illustration

    When i export an artboard or selection to svg it messes up the location of some parts of the illustration while exporting to other formats (png) works correct. I use illustrator version 26.3.1. I have like 20 other artboards with other illustrations, all messed up. Like a month ago it still worked.

    Hopefully this will get fixed soon, or get a workaround, cause I cant deliver any products to my client now.
