Action using the transform panel will not keep settings after restart of Illustrator
I created action that use the TRANSFORM panel, when closing and restarting iIllustrator the action gives the error THE OBJECT "ALIGNEMENT" IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Action does work under Illy CC 2018 (version 22.1).
Currently using version 23.0.1
OSX High Sierra.
We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.2
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in update.

Echoing this problem in 23.0.3 official as of 4/3/19. A series of actions doing file placement (linked files), auto-scaling, and setting x,y positioning.
I've rebuilt the action set 4 times, and still doesn't save any details (even after saving the action out into multiple locations in case of corruption during save or load). I turned off auto-update in CC too but still no fix.

Just tried the official Illustrator 23.0.2 update (again, because I very recently updated to Mojave; the first time I updated to 23.0.2 was under High Sierra and when the update first appeared). The Action script I like to use (which specifies where a file should be saved) now works again. It was not working under High Sierra. I don't know if there have been tweeks to the Illustrator since my first attempt or if it only works properly under Mojave but the problem is now solved for me. 2019-02-22

I'm disappointed to report that my Action sequence, which involves Saving an outlined version of an EPS file in a specific folder, with certain characteristics such as B&W preview, no fonts, and with the same file name (so replacing the original file), does not work after a restart in the new CC version of Illustrator. The beta from yesterday was working correctly, but not the new "official" version. Back to reinstalling the beta, unfortunately.

Great news! When will the official (non-pre release) version come out?

YES! What Raghuveer Singh (Admin) posted fixed my issue! Hope it helps everyone else as well.

Agree. Action not available occurs with Transform, Export, and Save steps. If I rebuild it works but will fail if I quit illustrator regardless of saving the action.

I have exactly the same problem but with set stroke, expand and set color when using actions. I was going to use it for adding automatic outline to imported DXF illustrations. When the set stroke action is working it has a little drop down menu showing weight, cap, miter etc. When restarting the program the drop down menu is gone

I have this problem too. I have an action to expand a pattern which doesn't work after closing and re-opening the program. I have to set it up again every session. 👎

I've only recently learnt how to create actions - thought I'd found answer to all my prayers! but on re-opening illustrator and the file, the actions no longer work - exactly the same problem as this, except my actions are to move objects by a specific distance. I'm on the latest update of Ai.

I've created a set of actions for Alignment, set to my function keys. They worked great, but after shutting down and reopening Illustrator the actions have partially cleared themselves. It's weird, they're still "there" but the core function disappears and I get a message that says the action is not available.

Multiple people on my team are having issues, with some of their actions not working upon a restart. I've seen multiple people having this problem with different actions. For us it's "select same fill and stroke" the commands disappear.

Same problem here.
However I found a work around; when I created actions in Illustrator 2018 and imported them into Illustrator 2019 they seem to work. -

I notices this too on Windows.
Recorded an action and everything worked like it should. After the next program restart I got a lot of errors trying to execute the action again. Then I realised that every action that held options, like coordinates, colours an so on, had been losing those options.
Exporting actions to files and reloading them worked! Now the options stay after restarting the program.

I have this problem too. Record actions – use them - batch use them too – all working perfectly. Then quit Illustrator and when it's reopened, the names of the steps are there in the actions panel but the actual action underneath (in the list of actions) are all gone. This is repeatable (IOW keeps happening). Doesn't seem to matter if the action is in the default actions folder (in the actions panel) or in a new folder that I created. Please fix this asap – makes Illustrator unusable. (So many bugs in CC 2019 ugh)...
Mac Mojave - latest version Illustrator v23.0.1. And this was a clean install because I got a new computer so there are NO old illustrator files hanging around to cause problems. -

When i make an action with a scale function (resize any design) and save the action it works. But when a close illustrator and open it again the scale function in the action won't work anymore... i attached an screenprint.

One of my favorite recorded Actions is: Save As .eps format (to current folder); Choose EPS, B&W preview, no fonts embedded, no document thumbnails, Close. Been using this for a certain type of job for years. With the new Mac version (23.0.1), saving this sequence as an Action works UNTIL you quit Illustrator and start up again. After startup, the record Action doesn't work. :-(
