It is possible now to set up a custom scale in Ai Beta 28.4.0.2.
In Dimension Tool Options dialog open the Scale dropdown and choose custom to get the Custom Scale dialog.
It works for decimal scales only, like 1:12 or 1:15, but not for Imperial scales like 1/16"
Please try it and comment back.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marek Domke commentedAny kind of user defined scalings, including weird ones, like 1:1.5 would be great. I need those factors quite often! Also 1:15 which ist also not on the list of fixed scalings now.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

An error occurred while saving the comment Marek Domke commentedThat's because the gradient stop, you selected before, is the object that is actually edited. Not the whole gradient! This is very unpleasent to me to, since you cannot "deselect" a gradient stop.
Switching from gradient to a solid color is also not possible when a gradient stop is selected and the gradient tool is in use. It just alters the stop, not the whole gradient.
Also the apperance panel shows only this stop instead of the whole appearance. I alway have to select another tool to see the whole appearance again and make changes to a Layer ...This renders my whole workflow of stacked appearance layers of gradients nearly useless, since it's too time consuming now.

Adobe. Make It an Experience. An error occurred while saving the comment Marek Domke commentedI notices this too on Windows.
Recorded an action and everything worked like it should. After the next program restart I got a lot of errors trying to execute the action again. Then I realised that every action that held options, like coordinates, colours an so on, had been losing those options.
Exporting actions to files and reloading them worked! Now the options stay after restarting the program.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marek Domke commentedI am experiencing the same problem.
It seems that once selected gradient stops will stay selected forever until you select another stop.
Even selecting another gradient WITHOUT selecting another stop lets the previusly selected stop stay selected?Marek Domke supported this idea · -

Hi Marek & Dllyana,
Thanks for sharing this issue,Illustrator team really appreciate this.
You can deselect the selected color stop via Escape key when you are in gradient tool. I hope this works for you as a workaround to deselect the selected color stop.Marek Domke supported this idea ·Marek Domke shared this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Marek Domke commentedThe hotfix helped a lot.
The only thing i noticed for today was once a sudden appearing of a serious lag and seconds of freezing, similar to the behaviour right before the crashes happened before. But id did not lead to a crash!
I had to restart the program then and everything was fine again.
Unfortunately I am not shure if this has anything to do with this issue. An error occurred while saving the comment Marek Domke commentedAlmost the same here. But we are working with Windows!
The Crash seems to not belong to any specific action. It just crashes from time to time showing black and white artefacts on the screen. Wiping preferences didn't help.

Thanks! I hadn't even thought of changing the left part of the dialogue! ;-)
