  1. DrawArt Suite issue on OS 10.13 and CC 2018

    I'm using the AIDrawArtSuite to render objects in my plug-in.

    This function works fine on windows and os x for CC, CC 2014, CC 2015, CC 2017 and CC 2018 except for macOS 10.13

    On my macbook pro 2014 with a nvidia card and OS 10.13.2, the result is not correct.
    If I'm disabling the GPU performance, the result is now correct.

  2. Vectors and Paintstrokes Destroyed by Opening in AI CC

    Files on Adobe Illustrator CS5 when opened in AI CC are totally distorted and altered. The live paint feature was eliminated from AI CC and so I assume this is why my lines are interpreted as choppy and broken even though they are coded as vectors is CS5. My paint strokes also have distortions and artifacts in them, making the piece unrecognizable from its former iteration and requiring hours of work in hopes of fixing it. The inability for simply being able to maintain old works from earlier versions of illustrator is a mind blowing oversight. AI CC is not…

  4. Expanding strokes lose ability to scale equally

    After expanding a stroke, when I shift + transform and scale, it does not scale equally on all sides.

  6. Select > Same > (Fill, Stroke, etc.) no longer working in charts

    Adobe CC2018
    When using the direct selection tool to select a single element of a chart or graph, Illustrator no longer responds to the Select > Same > ... commands. This is a feature we rely upon for everyday capabilities when styling charts. When I try the command, it does not select anything within the chart. If I ungroup the chart, or use the Select > Same > (options) with other Illustrator shapes, it works as normal. The problem surfaced immediately after I upgraded from CC2017 to CC2018.

  7. Units not appearing when trying to re-size an artboard

    Bug - units not appearing when trying to manually re-size and artboard

    Your version of Adobe Illustrator - 22.0.1 (macOS High Sierra v10.13.1)
    The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues - Trying to manually re-size an artboard since upgrade to High Sierra

    Hi,

    Please see if Snap to Grid is on in your document? If yes then try turning that off and try again.
    Otherwise follow below steps :
    > Click on finder , when you will click on finder on mac at the top you will see an option as “Go”
    > choose Go > Go To Folder
    > In go to folder , type ~/library
    > choose application support/Adobe/rename the folder named as Adobe Illustrator22Settings to Adobe Illustrator21Settings.old
    > go back to library folder where you got application support folder and scroll down
    > Open the Preferences Folder rename the folder named as Adobe Illustrator22Settings to Adobe Illustrator22Settings.old

    Launch Illustrator and check if it works and share the outcome with us .

  8. Preview on "save for web"

    Illustrator CC 2018
    iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
    macOS High Sierra 10.13.1

    My preview on "save for web" on 100% is not the same size of my illustrator preview ! Both are 600x250px

    The preview "save for web" is smaller than reality

  11. Can't save preview - error notice |

    after simply saving an illustration
    i get this error.
    It seems i get it across both my systems
    uninstalled and reinstalled illustrator (AiCC18)
    i still get it...
    seems to not affect the files them selves...(all seems well)
    Just seems to be a bit anoying...

    The issue seems to be file corruption, our support should be able to recover some of the information when you contact them. A file normally corrupts when the disk is not available during file wrote or when Illustrator crashes. We also do not support network drives which is prone to file corruption when writing large files.

  12. Files Breaking on Save after creating Saved Swatch Library

    Illustrator v22.0.1: We use art tiles to create repeat prints for textile printing. There is a bug that cause my original .eps files to become garbled after I have used that .eps file to create a saved swatch library. STEP1.png shows the original art file and its save options. STEP2.png shows creating a pattern from the art and its associated settings. STEP3.png shows saving the swatch library (I removed all of the standard Illustrator swatches as they are unnecessary for the custom swatch library).   13. Adding a workspace crashes Illustrator

    Illlustrator CC 2018 - build 22.01

    Document with 5 A4 workspaces side by side, adding a new A4 workspace makes Illustrator crash immediately. No saving, no warning no nothing ...
    The only way I can find is making a new dociument with the number of pages you need and copy the artwork. Good luck if you have several layers, and you have to redo everything if you need one more page.

  14. PDF size is extremely large

    Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 version

    When I save a file as PDF or even the original Ai. format the file becomes extremely large. This started to occurred after the latest update. The file contains 2 small artboards with a little bit of text (not much) and a few small icons, its 43 MB! it should be 10 MB or less.

    The same happens when saving as PDF with (Illustrator default settings) File is TOO big, even if I change the settings of the PDF, it might drop to 15 MB.

  15. Can´t save an open document!!

    When I try to save an open document, AI say´s it can´t save as the file is open.

    Well, obviously it is open, as I am working on it!

    I have to rename the file. Then when I try to save the new file, same thing happens and I have to keep renaming files if I want to save my work.

    Surely this is a bug.

    Is this happening to anyone else??!

  16. Layer Options Color Changes/Problem

    I use Illustrator on an iMac. With the upgrade to CC 2018, the following happened:
    1) In the Layers Palette, all layers colored Cyan changed to Yellow;
    2) All layers colored Magenta changed to Cyan.

    By itself, this is not a terrible problem (disregarding Yellow as a terrible layer color to begin with!) The problem comes when I try to change them back.

    When I open the Layer Options for a particular layer, I used to hit 'Tab' to take me to the Color, then 'C' to get Cyan. Now, it brings up a Custom window that I have to…

  18. Files are plugged and then deleted !!

    I made a very big job and then the computer got stuck and the file was deleted until the previous maintenance and destroyed 8 hours of work.

  19. Can't click on properties dropdowns

    I just updated AI to the newest release and suddenly I'm unable to access extended properties not displayed on the main panel nor will it let me select and change colors via the properties panel. I also don't like that you've all decided what tools I work with constantly, I need to be able to customize what I need to keep open for my workflow optimization. Because if I could, I could work around this bug.

  20. Font Filter

    Using Adobe Illustrator CC 2018.

    I have the filter on for all font classes but when I click the similar fonts icon "No results found" comes up.
