1. MAJOR ISSUE: The new update does not let you decouple horizontal and vertical sizes!!

   The new update does not let you decouple horizontal and vertical sizes. I've unlocked them and toggled every possible option. Ex: I have a 3x5 shape, and want to make it 4x5. It will ONLY make it 4x6.7516 in. HUGE ISSUE.

2. Turntable tooltips don’t allow to use Transform panel

   I understand Ai want to advertise generative features more.
   But putting the Turntable button (a 'speculative gambling machine') into the Transform panel (a dedicated panel about coordinates, sizes, 'parametric parameters' (sorry for the pun)) — is not OK.
   The tooltip bubbles up occasionally and covers the panel. It won’t get hidden with 'Disable Rich Tooltips' option being disabled, while BEING one.

   There are plenty of other places.
   A generative menu, Control (where we can disable in with customizing a panel), in Properties’ Quick Actions (that we can keep below the line... why not customize? — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31999108), or CTB (why there’s no customization here also? — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49235456)...

   The team believes it’s fixed in the latest 30.8.0.72.

   I believe the button is still in the panel (sadly), but the behavior is less insane. Kindly check it.

3. Transform tools (Scale, Envelope Distort) apply & perform the last transform when using dialog with no option to undo

   Having a persistent problem, only solved by restarting Illustrator once it happens. No ideas on what triggers the problem.

   When I open the Scale tool dialog on a selected object, the previous scale values are immediately applied and executed. Canceling the dialog does not undo the transform.

   Changing the scale values in the dialog operates on the object, but at the new size.

   In other words, opening the Scale dialog immediately scales the object with the last used setting, and then applies the new scale values to the already transformed object.

   This has also happened with the Envelope Distort tool.

   Mac OS 14.8, Mac Studio M1 Ultra, latest Illustrator.

4. Color settings become unsynchronized when any image gets placed in document

   After the 30.2.1 update, (mac os 26.3.1, Win 11) I noticed a very strange and annoying behavior in Illustrator. It's about Color Settings. I use "Europe General Purpose 3" and I apply it via Bridge to all apps, i.e. Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Everything works and when I look in those apps color settings — I see "synchronized" everywhere. However, if I place any image in Illustrator — "synchronized" immediately changes to "unsynchronised". Even if I change to "Europe General Purpose 3" in the settings dropdown (in Illustrator) again and save the Ai document - when it opens, I see "unsynchronised" again in the Color Settings panel. I haven't seen such nonsense since 2006 when I started working with Illustrator. I believe this is just a bug and it will be fixed in the next version. Does anyone else have this situation?

5. Recolor not working with Color Books

   1. Windows 11 Pro 25H2
   2. Adobe Illustrator Desktop v30.7
   3. Steps: Select artwork to be recolored>in the recolor advanced options diaglogue panel select the color book (doesn't appear to matter which one)>results are that some or all of the "new" colors are 50%black.
      
   4. Until yesterday when I updated Illustrator to the most recent version, recoloring cmyk or rgb colors to a specific color book, specifically my old pantone+ solid coated color book as that's what I use for work, returned the expected pantone+ solid coated equivelant colors consistently. Help please!

   1.新規ドキュメントを開きアートボードを２つ追加する。この状態では３つ目のアートボードがアクティブになる。
   2.アートボードパネル上でShiftキーを押しながら２つ目、１つ目のアートボードを順番に選択する。ここまでで、アクティブなアートボードは１つ目になる。

8. Artboards & Content are displaced after saving and opening a file

   After saving & opening a file with multiple art boards, many of the artboards and/or their content is shifted around the canvas. I already tried all kinds things, even creating a new file and copying everything over. The bug happens again and again – and it's unpredictable, sometimes it's just one element, sometimes it's half of all the content.

   Working with Version 29.8.1, the file is in large format mode, Mac OS 25 (latest). Not saving on a cloud synced folder.

   When saving the same file into Adobe Cloud, the bug doesn't seem to occur... at least for the last few times I tried. But actually I don't want to save them there.

   Also, when saving onto hard drive, sometimes a dialog appears that the file was changed outside of Illustrator (which is not true).

   See attached file (blurred): the grey boxes on top come from the artboard on the bottom and the red ones from the artboards below.

9. Can’t change a gradient stop from swatches

   There is a bug that stops you from changing the colour in a gradient stop from your swatches. The only way to get around it is to use the eye dropper tool. This is a must fix and has been missed on multiple updates recently!

11. Color panel does not cycle Tab focus, causing all panels to be hidden. on MacOs

    Illustrator version: 2026 (30.2.1/30.3)

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a new document.
    2. Open the Color panel (Window > Color).
    3. Click on the first numeric input field (e.g., C value in CMYK mode).
    4. Press Tab repeatedly to move focus through the fields.

    Expected result:

    Focus cycles through all input fields within the Color panel — after reaching the last field, Tab returns focus to the first field, keeping focus inside the panel. This is how other panels (e.g., Character, Transform) behave.

    Actual result:

    When Tab is pressed from the last input field, focus escapes the Color panel entirely. Because Tab is also the shortcut to show/hide all panels in Illustrator, this immediately triggers the "hide all panels" action, causing the entire panel set to disappear. Pressing Tab again does not restore the panels — there is no response at all, leaving the user with no way to recover via keyboard.

    This is a serious operational problem: a routine action (navigating between color input fields) unintentionally collapses the entire workspace with no keyboard recovery path.

    Note: This is distinct from the related bug "Color Mixer in Control and Properties panels gets broken after using Tab" (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50129499), where fields break visually. This report concerns the absence of focus cycling in the standalone Color panel and its destructive side effect.

12. Files saved are missing images when imported into Photoshop, InDesign, other apps

    Lately I am having problems with linked files in Illustrator not showing up when I open the file in Photoshop for instance, even though everything looks fine in Illustrator in the original file. I have to go into the Links menu and relink everything one at a time and resave to make it work. I also notice that the file size is smaller when the linked files don't work.

    I tend to use linked files a lot and have for years so this isn't a case of unfamiliarity with the tool.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Lately I am having problems with linked files in Illustrator not showing up when I open the file in Photoshop for instance, even though everything looks fine in Illustrator in the original file. I have to go into the Links menu and relink everything one at a time and resave to make it work. I also notice that the file size is smaller when the linked files don't work.

    I tend to use linked files a lot and have for years so this isn't a case of unfamiliarity with the tool.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    This has been fixed in the latest version - 30.3.

    
    

    This fix would not correct the existing damaged files but should not happen on new files saved from newest version. Existing files can be corrected by resaving them in latest version.

13. Dragging and rearranging several objects at once in Layers is broken when a filter is applied

    As documented in other reports, this remains broken. It may work ONCE, based on no discernible pattern, but never again in dozens of tries.

    This afflicts both platforms.

14. SVG output is wrong size

    I have to create SVG files for work, and they MUST have specific dimensions. I've been using Ai 2023 with zero problems. When I "View SVG Code" the width, height, and viewBox values are all correctly set to the size of the artboard.

    I've been avoiding upgrading for obvious reasons, but the other day I decided to try out Ai 2026. Thank GOD I installed a new instance and kept 2023! I had to generate an SVG and the size is WRONG. It appears to be using the OBJECT size, not the ARTBOARD size as it should.

    I tried changing CSS Properties, the only one that produces the CORRECT dimensions is "Style Attributes (Entity References) -- WHICH WILL BE REMOVED IN THE FUTURE.

    I'm on Windows 10, in case that matters.

    Attached are text files with code produced, and screenshots of the options.

15. Illustrator 2026 Version 30.3 and later: The bottom of PSD files appears black when placed

    In Illustrator 2026 Version 30.3 and later, when placing CMYK PSD files (containing only a background with no layers), the bottom of the image turns black and the image does not display if the file size exceeds a certain pixel threshold.
    Testing shows that data exceeding approximately 24,000 x 24,000 pixels (over 2 GB) results in the portion exceeding that size appearing black. Even when exported to PDF, the black area remains.
    Additionally, the thumbnails in the Links panel and when selected also appear black.

    Data created in previous versions that worked fine also displays a black bottom on linked files when opened in version 30.3.
    ・It does not appear if there are layers.
    ・It does not occur in RGB.
    ・It does not occur in JPEG format.
    ・It occurs in PSB format.

    1. 新規ドキュメントを開きアートボード上に２つのパスを描く
    2. ２つのパスを選択し、ブレンドツールでブレンドをおこなう。
    3. ブレンドパネル上のドロップダウンで「ステップ」を選択しアピアランスのスライダーを調節する。
    4. ドキュメントを保存し閉じる。
    5. ver.29などの旧バージョンで保存したドキュメントを開く。
    6. 「現在使用できないプラグインで管理されている要素が含まれていると警告ダイアログが表示されろ。
    7. そのまま開くとブレンド部分は表示されるが、編集に表示が追随しない。

    期待する結果
    新しいブレンドを使った部分も旧バージョンにおいても、編集可能な状態でデータが保存される。

    実際の結果

    7. If you open the document anyway, the blended areas are displayed, but the display does not update in response to edits.

    Expected Result
    Areas created using the new blend feature should be saved in a state that is editable even in older versions.

    Actual Result
    Areas created using the new blend feature are not compatible.

    Previously, when new features were added to Illustrator, backward compatibility was maintained using a mechanism called “VersionedContent.” The new blend feature does not utilize this mechanism. In older versions lacking the appropriate plug-in, these sections are treated as unknown PluginItems; only the rendered results embedded in the document are displayed, and manipulating the pathItems has no effect.
    These sections should be structured as VersionedContent so that, in older versions, the parts created with the new blend can be opened in an expanded state.

17. Exif rotation information is not reflected in the image placed by substitution

    Confirmed version:
    Illustrator 27.9.6, 30.3.0 macOS 14.8.3

    Issue:
    When placing an image with Exif rotation information, the orientation is different depending on whether to place it as a new one or a replace.

    Verification procedure:
    1. Place an image with Exif rotation information on the document
    2. Create a rectangle and rasterize it (means to ensure that you are not affected by the state before replacement) (fig.1)
    3. Select the rectangle of process 2 and replace it with the image file of process 1 (fig.2)
    4. Comparison of the results of process 1 and the results of process 3

    Ideal result:
    The results of process 1 and the results of process 3 must be in the same orientation

18. Keyboard Increment field in Preferences no longer gets focused when dialog opens, new Search field does

    Unrequested extra Search function in the Preferences window in update 29.7
    I (and many others) were eagerly awaiting the update because the jumping fonts were a nightmare on the production floor! But who asked for an extra search function in the preferences window? Now I have to press Tab 4 times before I can quickly adjust my Keyboard Increment. As an artworker, I use this function about 10 times a day, so that's an extra 40 times pressing Tab (approximately 800 times a month)... why, why, why?

19. Transform Each for linked images affects the firstly selected ones only, ignoring those added to a selection later with a marquee

    As found by @SugarT2O (https://x.com/SugarT2O/status/2064603604322066447), when selecting linked images in several steps, adding them to selection with Shift held, Ai would apply Transform Each only to the first selection made, ignoring those added to the selection with subsequent marqueeing.

    Steps are quite simple.
    1. Add 2 linked images in a document.
    2. Select one on canvas (a click is fine)
    3. Hold Shift and marquee (not click!) the other one
    4. Call Transform Each and input something like 150% in Width

    Notice only the first image selected is affected.
    A ridiculous bug!

20. Generate vectors fails but still takes my credits

    Generate vectors fails with the following error: "Cannot generate results due to connection issues. Please check your internet and try again." My internet is working perfectly (see speedtest attached). What annoys me the most is that it says it can't generate but still takes my credits. I have used this feature before multiple times. Why is it doing this when my connection is perfect? Please can my credits be refunded as this is not acceptable. Thank you.

    Operating system - Windows 10
    Version of Illustrator - 30.6
    Steps - I have a png image that I want to convert to a vector. When I click Generate Vectors it gives me the error above.
    Result wanted vs actual - I expected a vector version of my image but I just got the error and my credits deducted.
