Using Rotate / Reflect / Scale tools with Opt/Alt held doesn’t end the operation when Wacom pen gets lifted
I use illustrator CC 2017.
I use my Wacom Intuos for almost everything since it is easier and I am comfortable to it than using mouse.
I use Rotate tool to copy objects in circle with a center point (select Rotate tool, hold Alt and click to choose the center of the object) .
When I use Wacom tablet to achieve this, the Center point keeps floating with the mouse pointer. I have to use my mouse to click to set a center point.
I have used it in multiple computers and with other Wacom devices too. I am not sure if its a bug, but it would be really great if you could fix it :)
Thank you for reporting the issue. We have added the issue to our backlog.
With Best Regards,

Windows 10 64bit.
For literally years now, when you use a wacom pen, hold alt to move to the position of an object's rotation anchor, it sticks the anchor to the cursor and there's no way of detaching it unless you minimise and reopen the software.
This has been a problem for more versions than I can count. (We're talking in excess of five years, probably more?) It's happened on different machines and different pen tablets so it's a software problem. Oh how I'd love it to be actually fixed one day!

Windows 10 64bit,
Just updated to 26.0.1 and when you resize from the centre of an object (holding alt) with a pen tablet, the object sticks to the cursor for a tiny bit. I.e it used to leave the shape resized when you lift the pen off the tablet. Now it attaches and keeps resizing as you move the pen away. It's made resizing things accurately impossible.
It doesn't do it with regular resizing from one corner, so it's something bound to the "alt".
Updated the Wacom drivers and no difference.

When using a Wacom Intuous Pro (PTH-660) with Illustrator: using the scale or rotate tool on a shape, I'm unable to commit the change to the object after I lift the pen off the tablet. Even pressing "v" or "esc" several times, or even switching programs and switching back to Illustrator, when the pen comes in range of the table surface again, it is still changing the scale or rotation of the object.
I'm on Windows 10 Pro on a Dell Precision 7530.

Trying to open the dialog box for precise Rotate or Reflect settings by Alt+tapping with a stylus on a Wacom tablet makes Illustrator unresponsive for an undetermined period of time.
The dialog box may eventually open (after 30-90 seconds), but in the meantime, Illustrator cannot be closed, and none of the menus, tools and commands work. The bug only occurs with a stylus, Alt+clicking with a mouse never produces this issue.
The bug was reported on Adobe Support Community already in 2019 but has not been fixed even in the most recent Illustrator release. It seems to be a problem both on Windows and Mac systems. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/illustrator-stuck-when-using-rotate-or-reflect-tool/m-p/11918855#M269117
I am using Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 with the most up-to-date drivers and have no problems with any other software. I have not confirmed this myself, but others have reported that the bug only occurs when using Illustrator's GPU acceleration.

This bug is easily reproduce-able, just hold alt prior to dragging to create a copy and the cursor sticks to the mouse pointer. It does not occur when dragging and holding alt afterwards.

This is still an issue as of April 2021.
I'm a professional working on a fully-loaded HP laptop with a 2019 Intuos Pro tablet. The bug doesn't show up every time I use the Scale/Rotate/Shear/Reflect tools, so I can easily get lulled into a false sense of security until it wigs out again.Sometimes clicking into another program and clicking back does it, but more often it takes several minutes of clicking around to get it to stop. Occasionally it will freeze up the whole laptop and force a hard reset.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Illustrator, updated everything Windows will let me update. I've done everything I can think of, short of wiping the computer and reinstalling WIndows itself.
Please fix this.

So, I just found out about this bug after getting my drawing board back.
To be specific, AI waits about 3 to 5 mins to respond and to show rotation dialog box after "Alt+Click" specific point of an object or line. After releasing control, the rotation point is away from the one I selected and the entire keyboard becomes unavailable so "Ctrl+C", "Ctrl+Esc" won't work or any other combination.
Does not happens with mouse, only when Wacom is enabled. So I executed the following steps:
- I went to Windows10 Task Manager and checked for AI raising CPU Usage up to 23% ~ 25% and then going down to 0%.
- Went back to AI and did a couple of clicks to check response and the rotation box appeared.
- Rotation point remains away from the selected point.I repeated these steps 5 times to make sure. Same behave. Temporary solution is to avoid using this option for now and made the rotation manually.
Reading others comments, 2 years to clear that bug from backlog seems excessive time for an issue resolution. If you need to reproduce, I believe you've already done this by now, is it possible to know an estimated resolution date regarding to this issue?
Thank you.

Please fix this issues because it's very annoying, using the newest version of Illustrator 2021 and the glitch still happening, using wacom one for daily basis but since update to illustrator 2021 the issues keep coming.

V25.2

This is still happening, I can only use my cursor pad on my laptop AND every time I drag the rotate point , alt+click to set my degrees of copying, it just reverts back to the center of the object instead of the point i want to rotate around...and i have the newest release of Ai :( , eternally frustrating.

I have this same issue, only the click doesn't work, and seems to hang Illustrator for a time. But now it's 10/23/2020. Is there a fix, or work-around for this issue?
