Libraries Panel freezes and gets stuck
Although the Libraries panel is open, I cannot select another library, it's stuck on the same one. When I pull up the menu to choose another and click on it, nothing changes. Been like this for a few weeks now.

Having this problem all the time in Illustrator - only way to fix is to close and reopen Illustrator for it only to happen again or still remain unusable. Really disruptive to workflow.

I'm having this issue also...its extremely frustrating Adobe...our workflow is reliant on libraries. Without this functionality our team is severely impaired...PLEASE SORT ASAP.

I have been dealing with this for months, and it greatly impairs my workflow. It has become a major interruption throughout my day and is a great embarrassment when working with my creative team and clients during Zoom calls. I should not have to restart my software because I can't switch between libraries. I also use multiple monitors because my company requires us to use MacBook Pros for versatility.

This is also an issue for me. If it is because an external monitor is connected Adobe should fix this immediately most graphic designers use an external monitor.

Hi everyone,
Thanks a lot for reporting this issue and helping us to investigate.
This problem is set to a higher priority and we are trying our best to deliver the fix as soon as possible.
This is something that can't fixed independently on CCLibraries side, but requires applications updates. We will keep this thread updated!This is not ideal, but you can try the workarounds to get unblocked while the fix is on its way:
- unplug external monitor;
- downgrade the application version to the previous;
- set your machine not to go sleep.Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

I've downloaded the Log Collector Tool and will run it next time the problem shows up. Fwiw, I've found that it happens after returning to Illustrator after it's been open for a day or longer.
Context: Macbook Pro 2015 plugged into external displays. I bring the laptop home with me from work, and oftentimes when I return in the morning, this bug is happening.
Workaround: Restarting illustrator always solves the issue. It's just a pain.

I am having similar issue. This includes Ai Ps and Id. Mine sometimes loads as a tiny preview and sometimes loads fine but I cannot click or navigate within the panel. If I open it and close the panel again I can see what I was trying to navigate to. However when I click an asset, it seems to choose an asset further up in the panel. I have 3 other co-workers with the same problem. I can log out and log back in and it fixes it for a few hours and then the problem is back again.

I am able to add one item to the library in Illustrator and then when I open a new file to add, the library pane is frozen and I have to restart Illustrator. Everything else seems to be working so, as with everyone else here, it only appears to be the library pane that is unusable. Was adding art and logos for my art directors today and had to restart 4 times to upload 6 items (will have to restart again if I add another, I am sure).
I have not noticed it in other software but I suspect if others are having the problem, I will be, too.

Same problem for me too, on InDesign (16.0.1). Library Windows freezes. The only way to get it back is to close ID and reopen it.

Same issue here. Other panels work fine. The Libraries panel freezes, with no ability to select anything or use any of the interactions. I closed Illustrator and reopened and the resolution on the libraries panel is huge. This is happening on my Apple Thunderbolt Display 27-inch and my HP32 Display, the built in display is showing at the correct resolution, but I have found that it continues to be frozen.
