Lines under 1pt render thick in PDF
In Illustrator, lines thinner than 1pt end up rendering a mess (thick, out of alignment) when viewed in PDF. This is fixed in the viewer by un-checking "Enhance Thin Lines", but it is unreasonable to ask every client of a designer to update that setting. Furthermore it's impossible to un-check this setting, for example on the Vistaprint website where the PDF preview of an AI file is used as the product proof.
Please fix this. There have been a million excuses on why this is not a bug but a feature, but we NEED the ability to disable it from the document.

This is something that you have to address to the Acrobat team. Illustrator has nothing to do about this setting and can’t control it. There is no option for Illustrator to toggle in a generated document, it’s an app-level preference. 1. Make a doc in illustrator
2. Make some lines less than 1px width
3. Export to pdf
4. View the pdf and pay attention to the line thickness.
5. Disable enhance lines to see it should rendered correctly.This feature is a bug. Not a feature. This should be an option in export, not in the viewer. Those of us creators who aren't making spreadsheets don't need this as default. It also messes up text thickness too. This is unacceptable and has been requested to be addressed for over 10 years.
