John M is correct. For some reason, the update causes the preferences to change. I followed John M's advice and it worked! Thank you John M!

Keyboard arrows don't work when I need to move an object already selected

I'm using Adobe Illustrator 2021 25.1 on Windows 10 Home 19041.746.

I oftentimes will move assets around my artboards using the arrow keys (particularly when snap to grid is turned on). As of about a week ago, Illustrator no longer does this consistently. To be more specific, when I have an asset selected and press a given arrow key, there is no response or movement in any direction (I press left and nothing happens).

On occasion, the keys will still work but this seems to happen at random, even when I am able to use the arrow keys, it typically only works for 3 or 4 keystrokes before not working again.

There is no error message or indication as to what might be causing this issue and all arrow keys seem to be affected equally.

I have only found this issue in Illustrator as I have no problems using the arrow keys in any other application.

select object and try to nudge using arrow keys... no movement. have in past performed action.

Moving objects with arrow keys does not work.

Weird problem after i updated. The select tool everytime i click an object once it goes straight to "layer mode" making hard for me to move things around same with my keyboard arrows keys it doenst work aswell.

im having the same issue when I upgraded.... my IT guy said it has nothing to do with my machine its a glitch in the upgrade. So I now cannot use the arrow keys to slightly move my text over ?

Found the culprit. Settings > General > Keyboard Increment was set to "0.0001 px". Prior to having this issue I did not open settings and make any changes and I would certainly never change Keyboard Increment to "0.0001 px" manually.

Please fix Illustrator. It is insanely busted right now. Been using Adobe (Macromedia) stuff for like 15 years and I've never seen it this buggy. Also, these feedback forums are an absolutely shitshow of community management and poor customer UX.

Closing AI completely, reopening, selecting "Snap to Pixel" I can now nudge objects again with the arrow keys but now the shift key doesn't move things in units of ten.

Stop locking other issues. We can't vote on them when you do.

Title says it all. Was working fine, toggled "snap to pixel" off and now I cannot nudge anything using the arrow keys.

(What is the point of this bug forum if I can't vote for or comment on existing issues? Creating a duplicate issue like this of an identical problem is going to overwhelm your bug queue/list.)

Check Keyboard Increment in Edit > Preferences: General. Does it have a proper value?

I can't move objects with my key arrows.. I have to move them with my mouse. Can anybody help me?

Operating System Mac Seirra.
Keyboard arrows have not been working at all, for days and I restarted the program as well as the computer may times and they do not work. Nothing happens at all when I press on any arrow, while they are supposed to move the object/point I am holding.
