Incorrect display of Bangla (Bengali) sequence র্য
This sequence, which is described in detail in the Unicode Standard, involves a zero-width joiner character that should force display of the final form of the last letter. This works correctly in InDesign and Photoshop, but not in Illustrator. Please see https://twitter.com/TiroTypeworks/status/1354160819865493505?s=20 for more details.

This issue is being addressed in the latest version of Illustrator, and an improvement is available in the Beta app. Please try and let us know if you still face issues.

Please fix this. Photoshop has it, CorelDraw has it, and Word has it, the question is why it's not in Illustrator. Every text editor I used supports ZWNJ.

I have a client deadline to meet and the Bengali / Hindi sentences are corrupting.
I can see this has been as issue since 2020 (reported) I subscribe to Adobe so am not using legacy stuffs. I really need this fixing! thanks for your time.
Please see file.
Both sentences read "Sherlock Holmes in India" and this is verified by word/google translate. The wording needed is:
भारत में शरलॉक होम्स (Hindi)
ভারতে শার্লক হোম্স (Bengali)but Adobe (and yes - I have preferences set to Indic and character to Bengali)
I have tried numerous fonts and they all corrupt similarly. Please see attached file to show the corruption.

Have also confirmed that the same bug occurs in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Testing the latest CS versions in all cases.
