Drop shadows appear lighter in v28.1

Drop shadows appear lighter in version 28.1 compared to previous versions.

Applying a drop shadow and opening the same file side-by-side in two versions makes this clear. Both shadows have the same settings, files have the same colour settings and profile, and are displayed on the same monitor.

The example images show version 28.1 and 27.9, but the change is evident between 28.0 and 28.1.

    Hi, since last update the drop shadow effect does not render properly anymore on existing documents. It works only on ititial setup in a new document when applying the effect for the first time, however, any changes in the shadow's properties or applying the effect to a new object causes all drop shadow effects to disappear. I'm using illustrator on M1 Mac.

    Yes, it is the same problem. So we will wait for the new update knowing that your recognize the problem and made the correction.

    It is now fixed in the Prerelease version. Should be pushed to the Beta or the stock version soon enough.
    However, in your case it looks like it’s missing completely. At the same time there was another problem with broken blending modes, also fixed. Perhaps it’s the case.

    Hi,

    I think there's a bug in the preview in CC2024.

    I created a document in CC 2023 with an drop shadow appearance effect and when I open the same document in CC 2024 the shadow is not showing.

    Please look at this, we cannot judge if the shadow will show on printer press.

    I have the exact same problem. Furthermore, with version 28.1 the previously saved AI files have multiple empty layers in the project (which I had not created) and some linked images appear to have a height of 1px and a width much greater than the original. I would be forced to link every image again. So I went back to the previous version of Illustrator: so it's unusable :\

    Illustrator v 28.1
    macOS Ventura 13.6.3

    オブジェクトを作成し、効果 → スタイライズ. → ドロップシャドウを適用
    描画モード：乗算
    不透明度：15%から30％程度

    上記設定だとIllustrator2024上でドロップシャドウがかなり濃度が薄く表示されてしまう。

    同一ファイルをIllustrator2023で開くとドロップシャドウは正常に表示される。また2024からPDF/X-4を書き出してもPDF上では正常に表示されます。

    ファイル、前後のスクリーンショット、正確な仕様を共有していただけますか?
    >スクリーンショットを撮らずに28.0に戻してしまったため共有できません

    ver28.0でのドロップシャドウの数値だけ共有します
    この赤線のドロップシャドウがver28.1では、見えなく感じるほど薄くなってしまい、不透明度30%前後で同じ程度に目視できる感じでした

    macOS Ventura(13.6)
    Illustrator 28.0から28.1にアップデート後
    28.0で作成していたデータを28.1で開くと、ドロップシャドウの見え方が変わってしまった

    ドロップシャドウをぼかした状態で不透明度17%程度で目視できていたシャドウが、28.1で開くと見えないほど薄く・・言われれば見える？程度にしか目視できない。
    数値は変わっておらず、単純に見え方が違う、不透明度を上げなければならず、Illustratorを28.0に戻した
