Image Map URL Links Disappear in PDF Export
Issue occurs in Illustrator 2025 (29.6) and later versions
Description:
URL links configured through the Attributes panel’s Image Map feature are not preserved in exported PDFs, despite enabling the “Preserve Hyperlinks” option in PDF export settings.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new document
2. Create an object (e.g., rectangle, text, etc.)
3. Select the object and enter a URL in the Attributes panel → Image Map
4. Create a new layer above the current layer
5. Export as PDF with “Preserve Hyperlinks” enabled in export settings
6. Open the exported PDF in Adobe Acrobat
Expected Result:
URL links should be clickable and functional in the exported PDF.
Actual Result:
URL links are missing/non-functional in the exported PDF.
Root Cause:
This bug occurs specifically when there is an additional layer positioned above the layer containing the object with the image map URL. Objects on layers without overlying layers export hyperlinks correctly.
The issue occurs even when “Create Acrobat Layers” is unchecked.
Workaround:
Merge all layers into one before exporting to PDF.

おそらく Illustrator 2025 (29.6) 以降で発生
属性パネルのイメージマップでURLを設定し、PDFで書き出し設定で「ハイパーリンクを保持する」にチェックを入れても、PDFでURLリンクが消失してしまいます。
再現方法
1. 新規ドキュメント作成
2. オブジェクトを作成
3. 属性パネルのイメージマップでURLを入力する
4. 新規レイヤーを上に作成（ここがバグ発生要件）
5. PDFを書き出す。その際に「ハイパーリンクを保持する」をチェックする
6. PDFをAcrobatで開き、URLリンクが消失していることを確認する
発生要件
該当オブジェクトがあるレイヤーの上に別のレイヤーがあることでバグが発生します。該当オブジェクトがあるレイヤーが一番上にあると発生しません。
「Acrobatレイヤーを作成」をOFFにしても発生します。
回避方法
すべてのレイヤーを1つに統合します。

Just tried the latest Beta and Prerelease versions, problem is solved in those versions.

There is a problem with hyperlinks from the Attributes panel when there is a layer above the objects that contain hyperlinks.
Attached 2 files, open them in Illustrator to see the difference.
0_Hyperlinks with layer on top.pdf is the non working one.
The only difference is the working one (1_Hyperlinks with layer at bottom) is the empty top layer, it is moved below the layer with links.

Works for me when I test this...
Can you please share a test file in the .ai format, and share the exact settings used to produce a PDF from it? A screenshot or a .joboptions file would do.

Hyperlinks don't work in the final PDF export even when exporting the file with "Preserve hyperlinks". It worked in the previous version but after the update last week, it just does not work.

私も同僚も同じ症状で仕事に支障がでまくってます。
・Windows
・2025年6月下旬まではAI→PDFでURLリンク付けれていたが、2025年7月中旬頃に気づいたら指定URLリンクが付いてない状態で書き出されてしまう。（2025年8/25現時点でも同じ症状）
・Illustratorはアップデート済み
・Illustratorデータに「属性」でURL指定、PDF書き出し時に「ハイパーリンクを保持」にチェック
・PDF表示で使用しているAcrobat 「編集」→「環境設定」→「一般」にある「URLからリンクを作成」の項目もオン早期解決いただけると大変助かります！！
