@JP Flexner - this is a good observation. If your pc is currently in the state with preferences showing this issue, please share those preferences with us - same way through email.

You can send us this folder (zipped) - ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator 30 Settings/en_US/ which has prefernces and other relevant files.

@Akshya - I’m using the latest version, CC shows I have no available updates. I have been able to get the files to open if I delete my preferences. Not getting any error messages. The file opens into a blank art board with no vector paths. As soon as I change the workspace in a way that preferences update, the problem occurs again. Earlier versions of illustratior will open the files just fine. This seems like it’s linked to the preferences? I really appreciate your help and expertise with this bug!

@Jp Flexner - We investigated the files shared. We were able to open the files in latest released version of Illustrator - 30.2.1 and see the content. Are you on latest version? And let us know more about your system details. Do you run into any error on opening the files?

Here are a collection of the SVG files I'm unable to open in Illustrator 2026.

Here is an illustration that will open fine in Illustrator 2024, but when opened in Illustrator 2026 results in a blank screen.

1) MacBook Pro M2, Sequoia 15.5
2)Adobe Illustrator 2026, v30.1
3) Steps: File->Open, browse for SVG file. When Opened in Illustrator 2026 the artboard is blank. When opened in Illustrator 2024 the sig file works, and the vector art is there.
4) Expected result: SVG file opens properly with the vector art contained within. Actual result: artboard is blank, contains no vector art.
5) Screen recording is attached.

@JP Flexner, can you please share several of these you can, for the team to test?

Copying the paths from 2024, and pasting into 2026 works. But opening the SVG file in 2026 results in a completely blank artboard with no paths.
