New Glitch in Smart Guides, highlighting perspective grid-like points
Theres a new update glitch in smart guides, when I have an object selected, a bunch of perspective grid-like highlights.
This setting is connected with object highlighting in smart guide settings. If i shut off object highlighting in Illustrator>Preferences>Smart Guides>Object Highlighting, the issue stops.
Seems like just a new bug glitch in a recent illustrator update.

Thanks Becky. That helps. Do let us know in case you run into it again. Also we have some more fixes that went into the latest beta, 30.4.42,

Hi Anmol, I have not run into the issue in Illustrator BETA (v30.3) yet, only regular Illustrator (v30.2.1). I can try exclusively using beta for the next couple days and see if it happens there too.

Thanks Becky. If you can share the complete GPU Info section, that would be very helpful. I think there would be some more data in addition to GPU Info section that you have already shared.
Also, you had earlier mentioned that on Beta you were not hitting this issue, so, I'm assuming now you're seeing this issue with large files on beta as well? If that is the case it would be great if you could share the details "GPU Info" section from the beta build itself. Thanks

I've had the issue trigger several times today/yesterday. Seems to appear randomly when im working on a handful of large / boggy files. Swapping to CPU preview removes the issue, but ends up lagging and crashing shortly after. It may be triggering when working in isolation mode when objects have gradients... but I haven't nailed that down for certain.
Is there anything specific you need from system info? I want to avoid pasting confidential serial numbers, etc.

Can you please share your system info details? You can go to Illustrator->Preferences (CTRL+K)->Performance->Show System Info. and copy-paste the details from there.
Thanks

You're correct - it seems to be correlated with the GPU. When I shut off GPU performance in illustrator prefs, it corrected the issue. I spent the latter part of yesterday using illustrator BETA after I got fed up -- I didnt find beta had the issue.
Im running windows 11 pro with a couple GPUs, but it should be using my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 card.
Since the issue only triggers now and then, I'm not experiencing it this morning yet. It started popping up periodically within the last couple weeks. I'll flip my settings back to how they were and work in regular illustrator to see if i can catch when it triggers.
I'll reply back when it comes up. Check this video I took yesterday... 'bizarre' is right!

Wow this is bizzare! What are these? How do you trigger them?
Please share more: OS and GPU details (I assume these might look differently in CPU Preview?), a test file (if it requires a specific object configuration), a screenshot of all related options chosen in Preferences, a video...
I try to make it happen based on the description and the image alone and it won’t happen for me.
