  1. Transparency mask bug

    Pasting objects from the clipboard inside the Transparency mask mode doesn't work when the "Paste remember layer" feature is turned on inside the Layers panel.

  2. Graphic Styles lost, duplicated and hard to manage in general.

    I have painstakingly applied graphic styles to hundreds of icons (the final icon library is for a large CAD application and comprises nearly 2600 icons) but all of a sudden, the styles are not recognised any more. Objects are still graphically the same but when I select an object, the styles panel does not light up where it should.
    I have been having trouble getting graphic styles to work properly with styles getting duplicated and the very clunky way of saving and reapplying graphic styles to objects. This issue just makes me think I shouldn't bother. What are Graphic Styles…

  3. Drop shadow jagged edge on placed images

    When applying drop shadows on high quality png or psd images placed into illustrator, the edges end up jagged.

  4. Placed strokes don't save scale once embeded

    If you place an AI file with strokes, scale the placement and then embed the link the strokes go back to their original size before the scale. The strokes view the correct size until you embed it.

    Scale strokes & effect is checked in the scale window and in the prefs. Any other setting/pref that can fix that? or is this just a bug?

  5. Weird Facets in Gradient Fill

    Issue, rather than "Idea". Using a simple, gradient fill, in Illustrator CC 25.2.1, I'm getting these weird facets, rather than just a smooth transition. Anyone else have the same issue?

  6. Opacity mask not behaving as expected for object that crosses over itself.

    When I make a gradient opacity mask for a line object as shown, the opacity mask behaves as expected when the object overlaps another object (cyan rectangle; i.e. you can see the bottom object through the top object), but does not when it overlaps itself (magenta rectangle; i.e. the part of the object on the bottom is clipped by the shape of the object, rather than visible through the opacity mask like the separate object).

  7. NEGATIVE OFFSET PATH HAS FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON STOPPED WORKING

    I dont have an idea but i have the problem:
    It will work for a shape, such as circle by making a smaller circle, however if i type a word -> type - create outlines -> go to path - offset path and select a negative value it just duplicates the same shape with same thickness and i cannot find a way around it

  8. Big Sur and native Effects gallery crash

    Anybody else getting Illustrator CC2019 and 2020 to crash in Big Sur (beta) when accessing the Filter Gallery (eg. Effect > Texture > Grain)?

    You don't even have to apply the effect. Simply opening that window will doom you to a crash.

    Tested with latest public releases of CC2019 + 2020 and macOS 11 Beta (20A5384c) on 2015 iMac.

  9. update 24.2.3 so glitchy - pasting and moving deletes blur and brushes

    On iMac Mojave 10.14.6 the Ilustrator Update 24.2.3 is very glitchy. When pasting and moving artwork it deletes Gaussian blur and brushes from pasted artwork so then I have to redo all the work again by selecting and clicking on the appearance. ( see pics 1 and 2) Also when reflecting an object it defaults to an angle and not flipped as normal. Please fix, thanks.

  10. 3D Extrude & Bevel Mapping Symbol

    When I try to map a vector artwork using the 3D Extrude & Bevel Options on the "Map Art" windows shows that the artwork is mapped correctly on the face of shape however the final result stays with the black color of the outline, this does not happen when I do a flat graphic like a JPEG or PNG.

    This issue has been happening with multiple versions of illustrator.

  11. Excluding fill and stroke settings when applying a graphic style

    Intention: I want to have a graphic style for applying shadows (using the material UI shadow requirements)

    Because it does not seem to be possible to just copy and paste and existing effect of an element (like a drop shadow on a square element) I am using a workaround.

    I created a graphic style with my desired shadow. I noticed that when applying the graphic style to element, it overwrites its color and stroke values.

    I thought the setting "override character color" would prevent that from happening, but it doesn't. Every time I'm applying a graphic style it replaces the…

  12. Transform effect vanished from Appearance Panel. Multiple times

    After using Distort & Transform/Transform from the Appearance Panel, I noticed that this effect was missing from the list of effects that I'd used. As you can see in the attached image, Transform is not in the list. The long shadow on this text is created using that effect and it is still live, but there's no way to edit it since it is not showing up in the Appearance Panel. I started over and created it once more and once again, it wasn't in the panel. I tried a 3rd time and it worked as expected.

  14. Editing text with warp doesn't update

    Editing text that has a Warp effect applied does not update on screen or even in a saved PDF until the warp effect is turned off then on again in the Appearance panel. See the attachments where I have changed the bolded word 'egg' to a roman type weight. In the second warped screenshot it is still bold. This bug has only started since the very latest general release of Illustrator: v24.1. Occurs in MacOS 10.15.3 and in MacOS 10.14.6

  15. Blur effect not working in the second opened svg document

    When I open two or more svg files containing blur effect, Illustrator applies blur only in the first opened document.

    This bug has been detected on Windows 10 using Illustrator version 24.1.1.

  16. Feather does not gradient to transparent

    When 'feather' is applied to (in my instance) a black box overlaying a colored background, the black appears as a conspicuous grey.

  17. Gradient gets rasterized into a different looking one when used for mapping with 3D Revolve

    While in 3D Revolve, I am trying to apply a created Symbol onto a half circle with a gradient. Within the dialog box, there is a message that says "the gradient will be rasterized", which changes my gradient from "red to black gradient" to a "balk and white gradient". That changes my whole effect.

  19. ドロップシャドウのバグ

    最新23.1.1にて、効果→スタイライズ→ドロップシャドウを作成後、それを選択して編集→カラーを編集→グレースケールに変換 をすると、グラデがベタになってしまいます。（23.0.6だと問題なし）

  20. Why can't you use negative numbers in Move transform panel?

    This is such a bizarre bug. Sometimes the panel will come in with negative numbers already in there (based on a previous move by hand in the program?) But make any adjustment and the number turns positive. I can work around it using reflect tool but it shouldn't require such an extra work around.
