1. Fonts Won't Activate in Illustrator - Troubleshooting Tips Don't Work

   I have no access to Adobe Fonts. I open a document, and the missing fonts dialog shows. I click to activate and they don't activate. It spins and then stops eventually.

   When I go through ALL of the troubleshooting on the help forum, it doesn't help. I've done them... they don't work.

   When I go online to activate the fonts, the message in my status bar says they are DE activated. It's frustrating!

   For example, I just activated Gitan font from the font library, but I got a message saying the font(s) were DE activated. See the attached file for information...

   What is the fix for this???

2. Text partially greys out / becomes semitransparent

   Help my text is greyed out on half of the paragraph when I save it. It is supposed to be black and fades out. I do not know how to fix this, I tried creating outlines on the text and updating the app, it didn't work.

   Adobe Illustrator 2021, on M1 chip , Mac OS Big Sur

3. macOS system typeface error, SERIOUS bug

   I'm on a 2020 M1 Mac Mini running macOS 11.1 (Big Sur). Every time I open Illustrator, the system typeface on my OS changes in certain other apps (like Finder, Safari, Calendar, Notes, Spark, and Things) from the usual San Francisco (Apple) typeface to Helvetica. The change in typeface is making the text in these apps off-center, resulting in a weird bootleg-like look. I can temporarily resolve the issue by deleting

   /Library/LaunchAgents/com.adobe.AdobeCreativeCloud.plist

   and restarting, but the issue occurs again almost instantaneously when I open Illustrator. I understand that these apps aren't designed for the M1 chip yet, but please at least address this bug first. Many people are using the Adobe Suite on these new machines, and I hate to see my other apps all mangled.

4. Font activation via FontxplorerX not working after update to 25.1

   After upgrading to 25.1 font activation via FontexplorerX plugin doesn't work anymore. I have to activate them manually.

6. Adobe AI CC Fonts error question

   We recently encountered a "severe error" regarding FONT problem in Illustrator CC.

   There are TWO symptoms all regarding using MonoType Chinese Fonts(OpenType Embeddable Fonts) :

   1. Fonts size automatically decreased once we change the style, e.g. Regular > Bold.
   2. Fonts inside the "Cloud Assets" will automatically decrease its size randomly once we "Embedded" the assets.

   This error occurs probably after the update of AI CC 2021.25.105 (or maybe 1 or 2 versions prior not assure)

   Please investigate and revert us the solutions.

7. Justification, distance inter-mots

   macOS 10.14.6. Illustrator 25.1

   Quand une ligne de texte ne comporte que des chiffres (ex : numéro de téléphone), la distance inter-mot est toujours à 100% et ne reflète pas les réglages d'espacement du panneau paragraphe/justification.
   Il suffit d'ajouter une lettre en début ou en fin de ligne pour que le réglage soit pris en compte.

9. Multiple Bugs in Illustrator_Mac Os Catalina 10.15.7

   I'm reporting all of these bugs I'm considering asking for a refund my money back for the last months CC Subscription as it the software has been that unreliable.

   Illustrator

   Align function not working, can't align 3 pieces of text to baseline it leaves the 1st piece if text completely out off the alignment. I tried cutting and pasting the piece of text but still it will not align.

   Strokes not showing properly round on curves they appear to have extra anchor points, which there aren't when you inspect It closer. This is making simple curves look off.

   Shortcuts not working intermittently. Eg; When to resize the size of the eraser using CTRL+[ it doesn’t work.

   When doing shortcut to send object forward or backwards it isn’t working. You have to end up cutting and pasting it then trying it again. This takes needless time and is eating up my work hours messing around with software that isn’t working properly please fix it its driving me demented!!

   Drag hand Tool not working immediately when pressing space bar. Delay before the hand icon appears// this should be instant with the push of the key.

   Group function is stuttery as **** it takes about 5 attempts to select a bunch of 3 objects with the white picker tool. Having to zoom right in just to do the selection. This should be simple and shouldn't require the zoom at all, all taking extra time needlessly.

   'Align to selection' Not working// can’t click it. Click it but nothing selects

   Strokes appearing bitty/ jagged see screenshot attached.

   Photoshop

   Keep getting 'waiting for libraries' pop up when pasting a smart object into the document. This just freezes the whole program and you can't press anything. So you have to force quit the program and start over. This is taking hours to complete what should be simple tasks as the software is so buggy, its costing me time and money as I have clients to work for and the software just isn't up to scratch at the moment it isn't functioning properly at all. Please can you fix it as a matter of urgency.

10. Expanding in RTL removes numbers

    After Illustrator 23.01,
    When expanding Right-To-Left text boxes,
    all the numbers are removed.

    See attached video.
    (the numbers also don't get selected with "select all")

11. The list of available fonts is not displaying correctly, typekit not visible as well

    This is what I'm getting when opening the search for fonts. I don't see any usable list of fonts nor the typekit options .

    What could be the reason for such illustrator behavior?

12. Justification Setting Continuously Overwritten

    Justification settings are suddenly defaulting to 80%- cannot seem to change the default back to 100% and get it to "stick".

13. Font Activation Not working in Illustrator 2020

    I have repeatedly tried to activate fonts from Adobe Type with no success. It keeps showing as Activating. When I go to fonts.adobe.com it shows that the font is activated (Good Times Ultra Light) in the browser but in Illustrator it never shows the cloud with the checkmark. I have rebooted but still the same issue.

14. Illustrator PDF created with 24.3 sets letter I to overprint

    We process PDF files daily and have noticed that files saved as PDF from Illustrator 24.3 will set overprint on for the letter I

    There are several different examples if you cannot reproduce.

15. Text Box (Dash) Issue

    1. Apple MacOS Catalina. Adobe Illustrator 2021.
    2. Create text box. Choose a font and start typing, then type a '-', then if changes your font. (When typing in a font box on Illustrator, when you type a -, it goes back to the default font. I don't know why but I have had this bug for a few weeks now.)
    3. To keep writing in the same font.
    4. It changes the font.

16. Can't see the fint size in the type panel

    Hi, I work in publishing so I need to see the font size in the top bar but all I can see in illustrator 2020 is the stroke size when I choose the T tool. When I watch tutorials I can see they have the type bar across the top but all I have is the character window which is very cumbersome when I need to constantly change the font size. Can you tell me how I can see that type bar? Is it something simple because I just can't figure out how?

17. Text vanishes, the program quits when the text is copied

    My text is not showing up from even previous projects. Plus if I copy text from other programs, Illustrator just spools and quits.

18. text automatically changed to unreadable when using some cloud fonts

    Since version 2020, some time text automatically changed to unreadable when using some cloud fonts (as I only found this issue with cloud font for now)
    Need to restart program and the problem gone for a while, then came back!

    I use latest Mac OS and latest Adobe creative cloud version.

19. Cannot move type!!!!!!

    I cannot move any of the type that i type and i also cannot select the type that i just typed..... I am extremely annoyed with these updates...... Why can i not moved type? Why as soon as i have typed a word, can i not then select that same type???

20. Saving into a legacy format gives an error when using custom Area Type alignment

    Bug on Area type alignment: An unknown error will occur when you have an area type with other alignment other than top and saving it for a lower version of Ai.
