  1. Fit to artboard doesn’t includes stroke bounds

    Fit to artboard does not fit lines to the artboard that are on the edges. So when you export to indesign the lines are missing of halved

  2. Illustrator 24.1 can't place AI files created in the same version WIN 10

    Illustrator 24.1 can't place AI files. It seams to only affect AI files created in version 24.1.

    When attempting to link the AI, illustrator does not generate any preview of the file. It allows the user to follow the placing process but no content is shown when placed on the artboard and also it does not honor the linked file dimensions.
    After hitting the "cancel" button on the import tool an error message appears stating Illustrator could not read the ai file.

    The same file can be linked successfully when saved as a PDF.

  3. Illustrator ignores bounding box in standard EPS

    1. Details of your operating system and version of Adobe Illustrator
      Windows 10 Pro (1809) & Mac OSX 10.14.6
      Illustrator 24.0.1 (64-bit) and older

    2. The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues
      Opening a standard EPS file which follows the Adobe EPS specification as mentioned in https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/devnet/actionscript/articles/5002.EPSF_Spec.pdf (e.g. EPS produced by Affinity Designer, InkScape, QuarkXPress, etc.).

    3. Your expected result
      Illustrator should show the correct bounding box (artboard) as defined in the EPS header. The following minimum requirements are set out on page 6 of the specification linked above: »An application importing an EPS file must parse the EPS file…

  4. Illustrator crashes when adding centre point

    on occasion, ai will crash when adding center points. this time it was in wireframe view adding center points to placed PDF's

  5. Coordinates of an object are not aligning to it's artboard and are staying global

    When I try to align objects within an artboard the objects coordinates stay Global and don't change, which makes it impossible to do branding and logo design work. It only started / became a problem when I started using the latest version of the software - Illustrator 2020 (Mac). Urgently need this fixed so I can get clients work done and send away.

  7. Moving an artboard using the Artboard Tool moves non-overlapping paths and shapes in adjacent artboards

    Moving an artboard should only move paths and shapes within the artboard and paths and shapes overlapped from other artboards. If possible, overlapped paths and shapes should only move if a majority is in the selected artboard.

  8. Illustrator CC thumbnail on preview mode not working properly with rectangle artboard

    Illustrator CC2019, thumbnail shows artboard just properly on square shape not the rectangle one

    Got a white line on the right side of the thumbnail (preview mode)

  9. macOS Mojave-10.14.6 / Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator CC 2019

    Though item on art board is activated by selection tool it shows no indication of being hi lighted. There are no corner control buttons and no outlines on the perimeters of object. I see no reference to the situation in the menu.

  10. Multiple DXF conversions overwrite other artboards

    On my iMac with OSX Mojave.

    If I import 2 dxf files for conversion and leave their tabs available, the next to be imported overwrites the second tab placing the image on top of what is already there and then proceeds to open the 3rd tab with a blank Artboard.

    In the attached screenshot, the overplayed image is with red lines, the original image on that tab is in black lines

  11. Different size of postcard preset in the home about Japanese version

    Illustrator that is Japanese version has different size of postcard preset in the home.

    In the home screen, postcard preset written in "100 X 148mm" but that preset becomes other sizes (197.56 X 101.6 mm）.

    I want to fix it.

  12. Most recent changes not showing when opening up the PDF file in updated CC

    I have the most updated Adobe Illustrator. When someone is using an older version of CC and I open up the saved PDF file in my updated version, it doesn't show the changes that were made to the PDF file by the someone that has the older version of CC.

    I even had them try adjusting the settings in the PDF such as, "smallest file size", "optimize for web", "Illustrator Default", etc..but no luck.

  13. PDFs made in CC versions are much larger than ones generated in CS6

    In addition to the JPEG issue, there is the problem that vector files are often almost 10x the size as exactly the same file in CS6.

    I reported this over a year ago.

  14. Sudden jumps to maximum magnification level when zooming in

    Not clear what category this falls into.

    Problems new to CC:

    When zooming-in incrementally (Command-Spacebar, click), Illustrator frequently "jumps" straight to maximum magnification, forcing me to have to "zoom" back out to the desired magnification or even just to get my bearings and figure out where in the document I am.

    This is very disorienting, and frustrating and bad for productivity.

  15. New Document > Bleeds behaving strangely

    1. In the New Document window, begin by unlinking the bleed settings.
    2. Set your top bleed to any non-zero value.
    3. Click the link to re-link the bleed settings. All 4 settings will appear to change automatically, to match the top bleed set in step 2.
    4. Click OK

    Unexpected result: A new document appears with only a top bleed, instead of matching bleeds on all 4 sides.

    Tested with the same results on Mac and Windows, both running Illlustrator 23.0.3

    EDIT: Sorry, just realised I hadn't specified, this error is in the legacy New Document window, not the new one.

  16. New Document Delay

    When creating FILE > New… the 'New Document' pop-up appears immediately, but it's blank and the content/fields don't display for a good 7-8 seconds later.

    I expect this to be visible immediately. I know there was a similar issue in Photoshop CC that you could avoid by using a legacy New Doc preferences.

  17. EPS Saving

    Whenever I try saving a file as an EPS one, it continuously keeps separating my art boards into their own files, when I need them to stay in one sole file (as it should). This has happened on my personal macbook and the one I use at work various times and is setting back print jobs. Can we go back to retaining files on one until specified to not?

  18. Option+Drag with Artboard tool to duplicate Artboard copies art twice and drags places in the opposite direction

    When I Option(Alt)+Drag to duplicate an artboard. Illy places another copy of the boards artwork on the opposite side of the original artboard.

    It's happening in Illustrator CC 2019 (23.0.3)
    I'm on a 2017 iMac running:
    MacOS Mojave 10.14.4

  19. HDTV 1080 preset has a PAR of 1.33

    When the HDV 1080 and HDTV 1080 document presets were combined the HDTV pixel aspect ratio never changed from 1.33 to 1. The HDTV 720 has the proper square PAR, but the 1080 still has the old HDV one. This is only a cosmetic issue, as it affects the AI ruler, but not the shapes created or when art is imported into after effects, but it is still wrong when you're trying to measure distances using the Guide Ruler.

  20. Crash on File open/save while iCloud is running

    Here's the rant part:
    "2 days of productivity down the toilet, thanks Adobe. People use network drives. Deal with it."

    But on to the issue....
    Flying along for the past month on a new MacBook Pro working on various projects. Most of the projects end up on a network drive. iCloud (so I can switch to desktop quickly), Google Drive for collaboration and distribution.

    All has been working up until 4 days ago. Illustrator decides to crash/hang when I go to open any file, local or network. This project has a LOT of components to it, Illy files, PSDs, After…
